This is what happens when we have all these personal foul penalties protecting offensive players. Though I think most people would probably prefer this to a 17-14 SEC type game...

And yes, less hall of fame coaches in the game today considering you have to retire before you can become eligible, unless you come back like Parcells or Gibbs. How many active coaches were in the HOF in 1995 or 1985?

What are you talking about? The scores you mention are almost the definition of an entertaining football game (see the scores of our two Rose Bowl victories). Baltimore won yesterday in double-overtime, and Atlanta won today in an amazing comeback in the final seconds. San Francisco won with a mobile QB who set an all-time rushing record, and the Patriots were the Patriots, the team everyone loves to hate. This has been one of the more entertaining NFL playoffs in my memory.

'least entertaining NFL season i can remember"

of course the league is 8-8/9-7 with a few double digit win teams. It always has been and always will be. The NFL is not the NCAA where the talent/athletic ability gap is huge between teams. All NFL teams are basically equal, save a few freaks like Megatron and AD.
your right that there are not many future HOF coaches bc the owners have a win now mentality, but there are the same amount of HOF players. The intensity and competitiveness is the same.

Yes the weekend was an offensive anomaly but it was damn sure entertaining. The Broncos/Ravens game and Seahawks/Falcons game were 2 of the most entertaining games ive seen all year, and that includes college.

There are disappointments every year as there are always upstarts.

I love the intensity and urgency of the NFL playoffs. The season is great but the playoffs are what makes the NFL special. Whereas college is the opposite, the season is special and bowls are very anticlimactic.

Im actually sad that there are ONLY 3 games left this season.

    Hu Fan,

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. Some folks enjoy great defense, some don't. Either way, the game can be tension filled, dramatic and exciting.

I thought the Denver game was exciting until the Ravens came back and scored the winning TD. That was too video game like. I mean, that was a colossal defensive failure.

Then again, when the Cowboys beat the Vikings many years ago with the last second "hail Mary" from Staubach to Drew Pearson, that was just damn good!! [IMG]

I enjoyed the games this weekend. Right up to the point where Seattle's defense let Atlanta de-pants them on the "2-minute/30-second drill", costing me sole victory of $1000.

Thanks a lot, Pete Carrol. [IMG]
