Roger 35 -- Congratulations! Enjoy the triumph and the optimism. I really appreciate your contributions on this board and willingness to be the bottom guy in a game of dogpile. It keeps the discussions on this board going and brings to light opinions and information from which some of us seem to be entirely unaware.
lazy liberals can donate up to half their welfare checks to Obama vacation fund. Oh wait he already has one.
I can't remember ever in my life posting something too harsh on a thread that rains on the OP or the poster himself in any kind of way, so no need to start now. I can appreciate the joy and feelings of all who truly support this President and his party and agenda and philosophy. All I can say in honest sharing is that I was a freshman at UT when my favorite Yankees got beat by the Pirates, but was offset when my favoriate Presidential candidate, John Kennedy, won in what was then a surprising and stirring win. I was a Democrat as was my families and relatives back in East Texas, and that carried all the way to being at the Rice campus once in a rally for McCarthy. I backed Hart, but was miffed at the way the party went for Mondale, and my wife and I attended a precinct rally for Jesse Jackson. True, I did!! In later years I campaigned for Ross Perot while working in Curpertino at the time. And after that I was never a Democrat, and just slightly a Republican, for lack of a better choice. In all of those years going back over the decades, I never really worried that much about who was President or which party was in the White House or holding majorities in either House of Congress. So this is the first time in my life I am truly worried about this country and concerned over the future because of both the Party in power and the person holding that office. This is the first time it ever truly mattered to me which party and which person was President. What makes the US great is that whichever party or person is in the White House, we have checks and balances, separation of powers, and the willingness to work together, to compromise, and not act hasty or harshly on grave and serious matters. We basically work things out. I wish I could be as positive as all those who love Obama and support his politics, but I feel quite the opposite. I can only hope and trust the people of this country can persevere, and that state governments and the Capital Hill Representatives and Senators can do their Constitutional job as best they can. What I try to have faith in is that this country can weather any storm, and so my hope is there with the people. In a truly positive light, if Obama can't wreck this country and it's Constitution ... then we're pretty safe. We can handle anything. So I welcome the test. Give it your best shot, BO... I think the people of this country are up to the task. I plan to be here January 20, 2017 to celebrate a Day of Freedom and the beginning of New Hope
when this reign of incomptence come to an end we will have some 23 trillion in debt, approximately 13 trillion added by this fool alone, and had countless personal and economic liberties trampled along the way. Yeah, what a great fooking day for the country.
Hu & Zork: I salute your honesty and patriotism! No matter what our politics, at the end of the day we love this country and it's people. I wouldn't think twice about making a sacrifice for our people, and I know that is how you guys feel as well. That gives me great hope! Crockett: Thanks to you for being you as well! Paso & HF93, soak it all in guys, this is a very special day!
These books give a glimpse of the demise of the dollar and the politics that goes with it. I'm not sure either party is capable of dealing with what's at hand now, given all in office are Keynesians. I just think the present administration is at the other end of what really should be done about it. I wish them luck but the only solution is a huge reversal from liberal economic ideas and ideals. Richard Maybury is a longtime friend of Ron Paul who endorses his works. They are on the same page. I've lost track whether Ron is going to continue the good fight against the Fed by remaining in Congress, I need to look into that (see title of the 5th book in this series -- all through these books is the look at the Federal Reserve and debasement of the currency -- which this present administration is not addressing at all to say the least).
This is awesome, the Pres. turns back to look at the crowd and you can read his lips saying "Im gonna look back one more time. I won't be seeing this again". And then he looks out at the crowd: Awesome moment
Thank God that it is his last inauguration. Unless he decides to suspend future elections by executive order. The press would feel tingling everywhere if he did.
Didnt watch one bit of "The One's" "coronation" today. Hopefully the pubs in congress will grow a pair and not budge one inch on taxes, gun control, and espically spending.
All this pomp and circumstance sure seems like a big waste of money, especially for a re-elected President. Why does he need to be sworn in again, when he was never sworn out to begin with? I think it's just a reason to party. Come to think of it, I've had worse reasons - and not nearly as expensive.
we are going to be bankrupt largely due to Obama and his supporters who largely vote hard for their money
what exactly is great about the worst financial president in history continuing his reign of incompetence?
