Just to offer a different opinion, I didn't really like Bucky. He could break down the football games well but didnt know much about baseball or basketball. The day I quit listening to him was when he was taking about how bad that Augie wanted to win a Tuesday baseball game because he used a lot of pitchers. Anybody that knows anything about college baseball knows that these innings are scheduled to get guys work. There were numerous other examples of similar situations. He seems like a nice guy and I wish him the best though. Ill hold off judgement on Taylor until the finals are over. He is going to be talking up the spurs until then and I can't blame him.
Moved to Boulder five years ago and listened to Bucky at least three mornings a week. Thanks to the miracle of modern technology never have gotten into the local sports radio scene which is good b/c I really don't care about the Broncos, Buffs, Rockies, etc. Trying to catch on with E. Hogan by recording his 2 p.m. show but ultimately listen the next day which ends up being a pain. Hopefully Bucky catchs on somewhere soon b/c I do (mostly) enjoy listening to him.
Mike Taylor is terrible in both cities. The guy doesn't have a clue so anybody would be better. I just quit listiening but have tried for a month. No mas!
My alarm is turned off of 1300 so it's not on in my house any more. I understand Bucky is back on the radio sometime in August? Do we know if it's a morning show or afternoon? Who will he partner up with? Tell me it's E. Hogan! I have caught a couple of minutes of that guy from San Antonio waiting for Dan Patrick to start and it's awful. I know it's his Manly Entertainment segment or whatever he calls it but wow, it's horrible. I only assume his "sports" delivery is as awful. Does he drink a lot?
I like Bucky and listen when I am in the Austin area or when I am listening distance to the Zone. As for I00p - I hope E Hogan likes sexy Asian women so at least he and I00p have something in common!

I agree on the Taylor comment, I will call a Conclave of HornFans and we can let the radio station now that we don't like him.
Looks like Bucky is rejoining Erin Hogan in the afternoon slot on the Horn while Chip Brown and Chad Hastings do a morning show. No word on if that morning show replaces Mike and Mike.

What's happening with Sean Adams? I was actually hoping that they teamed him back up with Chip Brown and maybe have a three person team of him, Chip, and Chad. They need to kill that 6PM show with that other dude, Charlie. It just isn't entertaining and he's not funny at all to me. I'm glad to see B and E back together, though. I would prefer them in the mornings, but I'll take what I can get. I used to love going to their remotes at the area Whataburgers.
agree on the charlie hodge show. that show is just painful. 6-6:30pm is still drive time...don't know why they switch off at that point. austin is growing. B and E would be better going 4-7 than 3-6.
I'm glad others share my opinion on Charlie Hodge. he just killed the show whenever he was on w/ the other shows in the afternoon. I just don't listen to the Horn from 6-7 if I'm in the car. I wonder if he is someone's buddy at the station or they are trying to get some audience. Kind of like how Eddie Oran is still doing Men's basketball games... I've posted on their FB page how he's not very entertaining and my posts get deleted!
God help me, other than for possible games, the only times I will now switch to 1300 is during the 6PM hour. Rod and Craig (or whomever else is there) can get me through that hour. I wonder if 104.9 will ever go for the Longhorn sports since Texas is already in bed with ESPN with the LHN. Don't forget that 104.9 is ESPN Austin radio.
