Play calling is horrible. Qb runs down 19???? Seriously? This is really horrible.

I've seen enough of the GregDavis-MajorApplewhite offense. It's the same damn thing, as what we ran off. Put up big numbers against NMSU, but struggle against any team with a pulse. Not to mention getting your QB hurt.

    We've seen it all before.

But... but... we're saving new things for OU!

I honestly believe that when Daje went down, the offensive staff had a collective freak out and put their heads up their asses. The Davis TDs were nice, but they had to be set up by some pretty awful playcalling throughout the night.

It's also kind of scary how little speed we have with no Daje. I'm fairly certain not a single skill player runs anything faster than a 4.6. And that's on a good day, downhill, wind behind him for J-Gray. We keep hearing about Warrick... give him a shot if he really does go 4.3.

The OL is so gosh damn bad, it's almost like I feel inclined to reserve judgement, but it's been unimpressive to say the least. We need an OL that can keep the QB from running for his life from a 3 MAN RUSH! Pitiful. Isn't it ironic that the period in time when we've had some of the most heralded talent at RB coincides with some of the worst OL I've seen at Texas. There's more than enough blame to go around that's for sure.

Ditto on the OL. We're going to go yet another year without a single OL player drafted, because Walters is the best draft-eligible player on the line, and ain't nobody going to take him.

I posted last week that it was almost comical when Mack bragged about the 2013 OL class, stating "now Stacy finally has a two-deep to work with." Really? Where?

Speed is the last of our problems. We have plenty of it from a WR standpoint and Gray is fast enough. What we need are a bunch of guys who want to hit someone. We also need a competent OC who doesn't insists on running our QB who has mediocre running skills, but who had a great deal of success throwing the ball. Major's a ******* moron.

Can we now put to rest that "Major should be the next head coach"? He's shown nothing that makes me confident in his abilities.

Major is a comfort hire for Mack.

This man was great for the program at one point, but at this time he has lost the advantage, and he has placed his self-interests before that of the program.

Perhaps screwing a trainer while his wife is pregnant more clearly shows his priorities. I love(d) Major, but I love UT Football more. We can buy the best coaches, and we should try to.

I agree completely about placing his self interest above the program. The writing has been on the wall for years that the program is on decline and he's the reason, yet instead of doing the right thing and stepping down, he hangs on to satisfy his ego that he can turn the program around, as the programs sinks further and further.

During the press conference, someone asked Major if losing Daje hurt the game plan. He just stared and said "really." I'm sure that it did hurt the game plan, but what you do as a coach is adapt. I still think we had a chance to beat Alabama after Colt was hurt, but GD put in some very questionable plays that helped seal the win for Alabama. Major played under and coached with GD. Enough said.

Yep, I also saw Greg Davis part deux tonight.

I didn't see anything from Major to make me think that when his gameplan goes to **** that he can adapt it to gain the advantage.

Its nice when you have a QB that can save your bacon on every **** play you call, But VYs and Colt McCoys are kind of hard to come by.
