I think we will bounce back against Ole Miss and win the game going away. Robinson will get it done enough to allow the offense to control the game in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Win or Lose, I will continue to support the program whichever direction it goes. I hope we pull it together and get on a roll!!!
Agree with OP. I think the players are embarrassed and will respond. I thought I was the only one thinking we are going to roll them. My only problem will be to remember not to cheer for the wrong team when they play their fight song.Ha!
My brain tells me that Ole Miss is simply a much better team. My heart tells me that Robinson, in less than one week on the job, will have this team playing so out of their minds good that we will shut them down. I'm going to go with my heart, again.
Hoosier , I agree somewhat, but coaches are an easy mark. At some point the players have to take charge and make some plays. Too many players on the field are standing around watching rather than hustling. No matter how bad you feel the coaching is, players have to get after it.
If you watched Ole Miss play Vandy a couple of weeks ago you saw that Ole Miss is a much improved team compared to last year. They played like their pants were on fire. It will take a superhuman effort to keep Ole Miss from getting revenge. It may just be that the byu loss will bring out the best in our players. I can't wait to see the transformation.
Anyone still think Thompson and Phillips are the answer at safety? Looks like the same old same old to me. When you can't tackle, you can't win.
I am driving down for the game, so I will have a front row seat for either a great turnaround or a gigantic beat down.
Ole Miss is a MUCH better team than they were when we played them last year. We are not. We are injured mentally and physically, lack confidence, have a coaching staff in turmoil, and appear to have ZERO heart. BYU rolled us and we didn't give a damn. This game will be another beatdown just like last week.
If Ash plays, we win. We will take some definite lumps and give up lotta yards, Ole Miss has a capable off. And Greg hasn't had enough time to iron this out yet. Yet I do feel we outlast them with a potent offensive showing. Most fans know we almost always come out firing on all cylinders after woodshed losses, it's our norm for these situations. Mack does know how to rally with the best of them. Too bad we have to get donkey punched to get it out of him. If Case is at the helm and Swoopes doesn't save him early, we don't win this one. Not with an improved yet still vulnerable def. If Swoopes does get most of the time, it's a crapshoot. I truly think that guy is a gamer. When the lights are on I think you get a whole other animal from him. Love to see it if Ash is down.
We have seen the highs and lows from both Ash and McCoy, but if the OL cant block, does it really make a difference who takes the snap? Ole Miss has seen the tape Hey players, please don't tell us what you have learned and what you intend to do... JUST DO IT
Someone on here will call be a bad fan but it's a relief that most of the country, including myself, wont be able to see this game on the vaunted Longhorn Network. And since it's a late start, we wont have to see any highlights of Ole Miss running roughshod over us during the early games.
I think we will beat Ole Miss because the team will actually be prepared this time after getting manhandled by the older guys in Utah.
