was able to watch a good game on it over the weekend...

Texas over Auburn, 35-27, Sep. 15-1984

I remember getting off work early to go to the game, and I had a hawt date, her name was Eve.

Horns score 14 in final stanza to get the win.

I can't really figure out the direct correlation but it seems ever since the launch of LHN our big 3 sports teams have gone in the crapper. Coincidence or karma?

Coincidence, but the LHN is a huge amplifier of our recent failures. The combination of a shockingly bad athletic department performance and a sudden (and drastic) reduction in national visibility is a huge problem. I live in Chicago, and the Horns went from a chic favorite to a total non-entity. When I say I went to Texas, now people ask a clarifying question: "Texas A&M?"

The situation with Perry and the UT Regents, our abysmal failures in the athletic department, the invisibility caused by the LHN, and A&M's doubling of our fundraising paints a very bleak outlook for my alma mater. Perry wants UT to become the University of Phoenix at Austin, and we may very well help him make that nightmare a reality.

Probably the wrong thread, but the LHN is playing a role in our overall demise.
