Nick Saban was spotted on the UT campus last week prior to the Alabama-A&M game. God I hope it's true!

ESPN has been using the LHN studio for interviews with people who stopover nearby. Fowler was using it for the last two days for his "talking head" spots on Gameday Live, and he's not even covering the Texas game this week. I have a feeling that if he was nearby, it was probably more for a TV interview thing and not a "fire Mack Brown and take his job" thing.

And it begins. At least we haven't started the flight tracker posts yet.

I'd be absolutely shocked if a zoned in dude like Nick Saban was anywhere but preparing his team/strategy the day before their biggest game of the year.

This season will have to play out as is. There will be rumors, and rumors about rumors with everything from Mack will to retire, to ones like "another loss more loss and the BoR is going to fire Mack." I believe the issue will be addressed as soon as the season is over. Mack may coach another year, most of us see this as a bad thing for the program, UT athletics, the fans, all of it. On the other hand he may be fired and or the University reassign him within the administration. The probability is very low that anything of significance will occur until December or January. But who knows, maybe Mack will announce his pending end of season retirement following a blowout loss to OU. Mack resurrected this program, took it up to the pinnacle of College football in 2005, almost returned in 2009, but since then has allowed the program spin out of control back to the depths. We have come full circle since 1997, but in fact we may be worse off than we were that year. It is time for change, it was time for change after 2010. But as lowly fans who scrape together the funds to purchase tickets and to be able to go to the games, we don't count or have much of a say. We are merely allowed a seat on the rollercoaster. Something will happen at this seasons end, and we need to remember that even doing nothing counts as doing something.

We should go ahead & offer Saban like 6 or 7 million per year. Then Alabama can match it. That'll leave them with 2 million less for paying high school playe....ummmmm I mean that would be 2 million less to improve their weight room & athlectic facilities to gain a small recruiting advantage thereby

I keep hearing Texas could go as high as $10 to 13million a year for Nick Saban.

What I want to know is why aren't we going after Bill Belichick?

He only makes around $8m/year in NE.
