Hadn’t realized the Big 12 teams had such good records. Going into league play, only Baylor and Tech are under 60% in games won. As of September 23, 3:10 PM CT [pre] Big 12 Pct Streak Overall Pct Streak West Virginia 0-0 .000 - 13-1 .929 W3 Kansas State 0-0 .000 - 12-1 .923 W5 Oklahoma 0-0 .000 - 12-2 .857 W1 TCU 0-0 .000 - 11-3 .786 W8 Kansas 0-0 .000 - 10-3 .769 W6 Texas 0-0 .000 - 6-2 .750 W2 Iowa State 0-0 .000 - 6-4 .600 W1 Baylor 0-0 .000 - 7-8 .467 W2 Texas Tech 0-0 .000 - 7-8 .467 W1 [/pre] First leagues games on Wednesday with Texas going to TCU (6:30 PM) and Tech at OU (7 pm). Horns vs Frogs will on FSSW Plus (in Austin: TWC 77, 288 & 431 per the TWC guide). Tech & OU will be on TWC 432 in Austin beginning at 7 pm. OU will in Austin this Saturday.
All those teams with those inflated records have played a bunch of cupcakes in non-conference. Meanwhile, 7 of the 9 teams Texas has played have been ranked, with wins over #1 Penn St., #2 Stanford, and #2 San Diego. No one in the country can match this resume at this point.
After watching the Nebraska game on LHN, let me just say that FSSW sucks ***. Looked like they had first year RTF students on the cameras. They had trouble keeping the ball in frame, **** in focus, and the director was late taking the correct cameras.
LHN is an ESPN entity so we are used to the best. This wasn't even regular FSSW, this was "TCU on FOX," and the camera work, graphics, etc., was awful. Surprisingly, though, the color commentator was very good. He knew a lot about our team and brought good info to the broadcast.
