Brad, many (most?) here won't disagree with you, but I wish you would just hold off for say a couple of days after a win, before saying it. That too, a win where the kid held his nerve commendably and came through in the clutch like he has done on numerous occasion, despite his arm limitations and running limitations as a QB which itself may have caused us not to be ahead early (as has happened before too).

Case doesn't claim to be Joe Montana, and neither does anybody here. Why make it look like all of fans here hardly appreciate what these kids are doing? Case is all we have, and the guy has pulled off 6 wins, with luck or pluck.

Wait till Tuesday after a win to discuss in general terms the deficiencies of a QB (or any player who did some things right in the game). To say that "he owes us money" after a win, is just plain indecent, in my opinion [IMG] ... Or "uncivilized," as Charles Barkley would say. At least that is what I feel... I am sure you disagree.

I am amazed at the different opinions on this subject. For me, there is NO WAY, under any circumstances would I replace Case McCoy as the quarterback as long as he stays healthy and the team is winning. And I could give a damn about his arm strength. Does anyone understand chemistry, and momentum? This kid is magic. Sure, some of his throws suck. But have you watched Ash? Closely? Really?

To replace McCoy under any circumstances other than an injury would send a terrible message to this team.

Case knows he’s not an elite QB, he has never pretended otherwise.

He came here to play for this team, and it turns out now that he is needed to do just that. So he takes the field and does what he can within his ability. I respect that and hope others could too. No need to rag on a player who is doing everything he can to win, even when it ain’t very pretty.

    Hook ’em Case.

Is this a real debate? If you are clamoring for Ash over Case at this point, I have to assume you have never played organized ball. Subbing Case for Ash would produce locker room mutiny. He may have a lot of tangible issues...but all he does is win. He beat aggy. He beat Sooner. And hes got us in a Big 12 title race. What else does the kid have to do?

(And I was all for cutting him after the video cam escapade. I havent always been Team Case.)

It's probably a non-issue. Ash hopefully will be ready for next year.

For me, I guess the question now becomes, is Ash ready or does he redshirt. If he's ready, I would start him.
