This is great news. I hope I'm not around to see the game moved to Jerry's Sterilized Corporate Future World. It's a perfect blood feud in a real stadium that both fanbases can get to. Leave it alone. [IMG]

I would have no problem with this going to a night game. How about you?

I kind of like the morning game because it's not as hot and because I think it limits the jackassery a bit (on both sides), but mostly I just want it to stay at the State Fair.

Oh, great. Now I have to continue attending through 2025. If they would just move it to Jerryworld, I could quit going.

Great! I plan on being at every one of them. I love being on the Midway at 08:00am with a tepid beer in a wax cup getting the stink eye from the Okies. Or the victory walk down the Midway after the game like last year.
Night game? Maybe if you brought Robocop with you.

Patterson has not made to many bonehead moves so he has earned some slack. Toughest call will be Augie after the CWS. He has earned another year, but we were saying the same thing about Mack after the 2012 season.

This is excellent news. Especially on the heels (no pun intended) of the presale notice I got yesterday for Texas/UNC at the House that Jackass Built. The very first thing that went through my mind was when will we eventually lose TX/ou to the same fate. So glad to see it is safe for the foreseeable future [IMG]

Viper, I dont want to start an extended conversation on the wrong thread. But I hope no one within Longhorn Nation is even considering Augies status being in doubt. That would one of the most inexplainable moves made by any AD in recent memory

If they want to give us an 11AM start evenly that's cool. Or even 2 of 3 years would be fairer than it has been. But every year back-to-back now is ********. How about an 11AM, 2:30, and 7PM and rotate? That way older whiners get their ridiculous 11AM *** crack of dawn game at the same rate as the others. Let us enjoy pregame and the gameday Fair like normal folks and not bloodshot eyes zombies before the throwdown.

I used to be against the game there, even thought of home-and-home.

But with the craziness of total destruction of traditions... A&M bolting from all ties inside the state; the bizarre uniform adaptations, the Pimping of commercial influences from A-to-Z.... I'm all for something with a sense of tradition.

So count me all in. And thank goodness Texas' baseball and football uniforms still look decent.

This bit of news finds me very gruntled, indeed.

If it had not been for the total fail of Jerry Jones and Laura Miller finding common ground on an epic win-win, a landslide no-brainer even for a couple of nitwits like them, the game could have been held in the new stadium and Fair Park at the same time. And we could quit referring to Arlington as North Texas every time something happens there.

To most people outside of Texas the whole area is just "Dallas", or maybe "Dallas/Fort Worth".

    Great news
Cotton Bowl is where this game belongs.

11am sucks - 2:30 is the best time

I prefer a mid day game over 11am start. Night would be epic with drunk *** fights.
