Liked it! The apes were cool and the story line wasn't ridiculous, relatively speaking of course.
Better than Godzilla, in my opinion.

I'm not really into 3D so watched it regular.

LC, I did not see the Apes movie before this one or any others since I was a kid. Is this movie stand alone or should I really watch the previous one(s) to appreciate this one?

    Thanks.

Strongly recommend you at least watch the previous before watching this one..
The storyline follows that one. [IMG]

I was afraid of that. Thanks. I really want to see this one but wanted the lazy or easy way out. Advice taken and noted. Maybe the first one is on Amazon or Netflix.

I remember seeing the original at a drive in as a kid. The final scene in that film is one of the all time greats in cinematic history.

Saw it last night with Losthubby and liked it as well. After watching interviews with Andy Serkis, I am in awe of his talent and the time he takes to devote to his craft. Talked about studying the movement and vocal habits of the different apes - chimp, orang, gorilla - and how each is distinct and he wanted to make sure that was brought out for each character.

The storyline was really tight. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

Sorry if I spoiled it for anyone. I couldn't keep the secret about the boat sinking in Titanic either.

    It sank? Was everyone OK?

Finally got to see this on Sunday and thought it was pretty good. Started slow in my opinion but picked up about twenty minutes in.

I'd agree it's much better than Godzilla and recommend seeing it.
