now that the Obozo administration has made it clear that: 1. The border is secure. 2. Their administration is the most transparent ever. 3. The IRS scandal is no big deal. 4. The VA mess can be fixed easily by just pouring another $18 billion into it. 5. The world is a more tranquil place., etc, etc.
I did just get a preferred supporter advisory recommending that I not take any commercial flights over Ukraine.
Good post, among those lies coming from the new spokes-mouth and BHO, these two especially stand out: 1. The border is secure. 5. The world is a more tranquil place., etc, etc. These people are serious. This is MADNESS! I try to avoid the "F" word, but in this case, my gawd people - HOW ******* ABSURD!
Rog, then you should feel extremely privileged because all of your posts are idiotic. The last one being a perfect example.
obama is the only dem candidate for president that I never voted for, so I am not a kool aid drinker. That being said, he has handled the Ukraine/Russia matter with some skill. A war is not as likely as it could be considering the mess that has evolved and the new sanctions which the europeans have taken the lead, at our urging, are going to cripple the Russian economy. Putin is going to be the most unpopular man in Russia after Obama in pretty short order. Now if we could just be sure he would not ratchet up a war, i.e., he is saner than Cheney and more intelligent than W, I would feel downright cocky. Still, the administration has handled this fairly adroitly so far. Let the Obama bashing continue.............
Maybe he will be unpopular in the new Russian Poland next? Then what will be his next place of unpopularity?
cheney was not insane and in fact was quite intelligent; he was just too dogmatic and almost prussian in his approach to things. W was not stupid, he was just intellectually lazy, which is not the same as stupid. He managed to get through a couple of Ivy League schools, which doesn't require as much brains as they would have you believe, but is not doable by stupid people. Maybe you are too dogmatic? Driven by your passions to see things through dark glasses? It can happen to smart people as well as the not so bright,
those guys were captives of the Munich Analogy, as were most of the people of their generation. If one says someone is saner than another, it does not follow that one is saying that the person is insane. If I say I am less articulate than Obama I do not mean to suggest I am inarticulate. Does this make any sense to you? Saying W was a dummy does not mean you actually think someone had their hand up his backside manipulating him I would agree he was not getting good advice and made many poor choices. Sort of like John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, et al. As for being a puppet, Monica Lewinsky pulled strings to get the morally bankrupt goat from Arkansas to sacrifice his attempts to "be good" and that harmed the country immeasurably by allowing W to get elected. And so it goes...
Saying W was a dummy does not mean you actually think someone had their hand up his backside manipulating him Well if you're gonna get that literal, I don't think cheney was using his hands up dubya's less talkative (and brighter) end, but was using scooter's hands as proxy. Seriously though, Bush was the ideal candidate for the facilitators of the neo-con agenda: not intellectually curious, didn't care much for nuance, no knowledge of history of geopolitics, sympathetic towards the saudi royal mafia family, and sufficiently passionate to blurt out "those that did this, will hear from all of us". The fact that he was played like a harp by cheney & co. is borne out by history.
BI- he might have quit sayng this is the most transparent administration ever (no one can say that with a sraight face) but he promised that in EVERY campaign speech he made. Hundreds, if not thousnds, of times. Once he was elected, he blew that off. And when he was re-elected by people who were willing to believe the MSM, he laughed at their gullibility.
Austin Bat, This is just a sad thread. As far as I can tell, nobody in the Obama administration has said any of the things that Dillo Horn attributed to them. For example, I can't find any reference to the fact that anybody from the "obozo administration has made it clear that the border is secure." I may have missed it and, if so, I apologize. It's hard to have any kind of meaningful dialogue when one side builds a strawman, knocks it over, and all the sycophants fall into line to whale on it. Presidents (indeed, political candidates in general) make all sorts of promises in order to get elected, then promptly break those promises. I don't believe the Obama administration is unique in this regard. Bush, for example, said that he didn't believe in using American troops to nation build. He also campaigned in front of huge banners promising a balanced budget. 5000 dead soldiers and a doubling of the national debt during his 8 years and, well, we see the results of that. Finally, what indicators do you have that the majority of the voting public believed the mainstream media in 2012? I'm not doubting you, I just wonder what data you have to back that conclusion?
BI, no data, just the fact that many people who voted for him in 2012 that would not do so now. The survey I saw - I can't provide a link because I'm on an iPad and can't figure out how to do it - said Romney would win by about 6 pts if the election were held today. However, we get the government we deserve (or at least that the majority deserves) so no one wins, regardless of which party is in power. No one from either party seems to be interested in doing the right thing - better to screw the other party and keep their jobs.
