And, as one poster to the article noted, someone had best do some due diligence to be sure that what the engineering firm says is true, and there really are no safety issues.

Surely there was more to this joker than just putting a 'Bama flag on the stadium? Can he really be fired for that?

 

Joking or not, those Facebook comments alone would be considered grounds for dismissal by some employers.

Just give it time. It will be the Longhorns fault before it's all over. Anything that ever happens to aggy is always our fault.

 

I imagine the comments he made about putting steel in backwards and "questionable welds" left his employer with no option. The flag on its own was very funny.

The nice thing is all work is verified by a 3rd party and I imagine this has heightened everyone's level of due diligence. That being said, he was joking more than likely.

 

The thing I find a little odd is that he posted those comments on Facebook months ago, but was only fired last week.

I guess it's possible that even in this day and age of social media saturation his employer just found out about the Facebook thing, but it's probably more likely that he was warned after those comments and the flag thing was the final straw.

Then it could be that someone at A&M just found out about the Facebook comments and demanded that the guy be fired.

Whatever the reason, he sounds like the type of guy that might teabag a passed out fan from another school.

 

One thing you can count on... in the final analysis, the Tea-sippers or George W. Bush will be blamed for any sabotage

 

You guys seemed to think way too much of yourselves. Nobody but you guys are even bringing your school up in this situation.
