Hopefully he'll play about 1.5 quarters until sitting due to being a starter and no longer needed with a 42 point lead...
While I applaud the idea of a 42 point lead, and of resting starters if/when a victory seems secure, I would give Jackson the week off unless/until he's fully recovered from the injury. We should be ok this week without him. If not, the season is headed down the toliet anyway.
If Ship is going full speed in practice now and is ready to go, he's ready to go. I don't think anyone pushed him to make game 1. They probably were pretty cautious with him as it is and told him to make sure he was ready when he went full steam. Now it's only a matter of being sure he's in condition to play the amount of snaps they give him. I doubt they would play him 1 single play full speed against North Texas if he wasn't ready to play without any hint of tweaking an unhealed hammy.
