Karma paying Fisher another visit over his treatment of VY? Still hate to see Bradford going through the same thing year after year...no player should have to deal with that.
I was thinking the same thing. Don't like to see players get hurt but Fisher will never win a super bowl. He lost his only chance with the Titans.
Man, the Rams were going to be competitive too. The pressure on their defense just increased. They have 2 options at this point, trade for a QB (Kirk Cousins?) or tank the season in hopes to get into the Winston/Mariotta sweepstakes. Unfortunately for Bradford, this is a contract year for him. They needed to understand whether he was worth resigning or not. I guess they got their answer.
Man I can't imagine the frustration of going through his past injuries, working all off season to get this year and have this happen during a meaningless preseason game. What happens now? I know contracts are guaranteed. Does he get cut since he's no use to them this year and I can't imagine they have any plans to have him be their started and stay healthy next year?
I still consider him the most talented sooner QB of all time. Seems like a solid guy and a good citizen. Sucks he's always hurt. Best of luck for speedy and full recovery. If it were me, I might hang up the pads and go enjoy my millions.
At this point do the Rams have any option but to cut him next offseason to save the money? Given his history they can't take the chance of walking into 2015 with a $17M pricetag on him. In fact, St. Louis must take a QB in the next draft.
I recall Bradford was in the last group to have guaranteed contracts so the Rams may not have an option to cut him for salary cap space.
article I saw the other day suggested that not only is this year guaranteed but that he is due another ~13M or so next season...
I'm sorry. I meant to say that I thought contracts were NOT guaranteed. Hopefully he's got some guaranteed money coming to him. I"m guessing he'll be cut the first chance hey get, rehab and try to make it as a backup next year or contend for a starting job with another team that has no better prospects.
