    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Did anyone else see this replay on LHN last evening? I did not watch it all, but overall I was very impressed with UNT and their play - very solid. This is not your father's UNT teams from the past. Granted UNLV is not Alabama or FL State, but they were a decent team that made it to a bowl. If UNT 2014 is equally talented, they execute and are coached as well - the Horns will get a serious game from them on Saturday.

People are going to be moaning and groaning on the message boards from the beginning of the game onwards because it's not going to be a blowout. I'm thinking the final will be like 34-17 when we pull away in the second half.

UNT was playing very well by the end of the season. I think they'll be bowling again in December.

From what I understand UNT has about 9 starters back. Totally different team. But first game out the gate could be shaky. I like Coach Strong said he doesn't care if we win 3-0. He just wants that first win under his belt. (laughing after he said that) I'm sure he wants to stomp them but will be happy if his team plays with fire and has a grasp of the new system. Couple of rough games coming after this one.

I watched the game and read a nice preview of our upcoming game with UNT on BC. UNT will be well coached, play hard the whole game, and generally reflect the no nonsense personality of their coach.

We should win. Our guys will know they've been in a game.

Remember this was a UNT team that was tied with Georgia going into the 4th last year.

New coach, New systems, player suspensions/dismissals, first game of the year.... All adds up to a closer game than most expect and much grumbling by the masses afterwards

Texas is still more talented and SHOULD win by double digits but that lead wont happen until the second half when UNT gets worn down.

    Prediction 27-10

This is a good chance to right the wrong of 1988.
