UT 35 Kansas 10 We should win bigger than that. That is a pessimistic estimate on my part. We have 2 weeks to get ready against a Charlie Weiss and Dave Campo coached Kansas squad that lost to Duke 41-3 and only beat S.E. Missouri State 34-28. I think this game will be good for Swoopes and the defense's statistics.
We can definitely use an opponent like KU right now...if anything to instill a bit of confidence heading into conference play. This team's mindset has to be somewhat fragile after what transpired the past two weeks.
Seriously?.... I am uphauled ya'll. Horns have freakin' BYE on 9/20. You Idoits, BYE is beyond terrible - no returning starters, no talent, their cheerleaders are beyond ugly & gross, mascot is invisible and their coach sucks. I am going out on a limb here with limited focusness, but I think the Horns romp over BYE this week.
Not only will the horns not score, but they will shut out the opponent. And I predict all will come out healthy.
But Worster, Texas can't play BYE next week since BYE has a BYE, too. Uphauled, idoit. Thank God, those will still live long after we're all gone.
ESPN says the way we lost to UCLA will have negative long term effects on us, maybe the rest of the season. I am not counting KU as an automatic win.

Texas 52 Kansas 0 A bye week has given me renewed enthusiasm. I probably needed it more than the team. Although for no good reason we have struggled at Kansas in the past, I think we simply overpower them in every position and phase of the game and look good doing it.
Kansas results: Kansas 34 SE Missouri State 28 Kansas 3 Duke 41 Kansas 24 Central Michigan 10 For some reason, i changed the channels the past two weekends and watched a little bit of the Kansas-Duke and Kansas-Central Michigan games. What I found so shocking was how bad Kansas's offense looked. Charlie Weis was starting at the bottom. I never expected him to win more than 4 games at Kansas but I thought Kansas's offense might be a little bit better year 3 than they were year 1. They look as bad as ever if not worse. Unless some sort of vast improvement happens or the other team has a really bad day, I would be surprised if Kansas wins any big 12 games. I expect them to lose by at least 10 to every big 12 opponent including Iowa State and Texas Tech. I do not know if anyone has seen the KU QB play before, but our defense is going to have a lot of fun against him. The big 12 will have one less head coach with the first name of "charlie" after this season ends and the one currently residing south of the state of Oklahoma will not be the one departing.
