The thread titles are heating up on TexAgs... it's like a feeding frenzy, and still 6 min in the first half. Sumlin and the players must have thought the red jerseys were SMU, or Lamar. But the ags posters are aware it's Alabama.
It's 31-0 now, maybe they can keep the clock running in the fourth quarter like in that 77-0 game against OU.
"This has to be embarrassing to the Wrecking Crew history of Texas A&M football defense," just said Gary Danielson, as the score is now 31-0 with 5:26 to go, and A&M has almost no offense or presence in the game thus far. Well, they have swag and the swag copter, and the $450 million renovation, attendance records, and water falls in the facilities. And an SEC schedule. Got that going for 'em.
That was an incredible comment by Danielson. The Tide took out 4 5-star D-linemen and replaced them with 4 5-star guys.
Not to write something serious on the thread... this is the difference between the Longhorn program and A&M. Texas is building and a process and zero entitlement. Hard work, step by step. Consequently in the fourth quarter at Dallas, Texas pulled from down 31-13 with two TDs to close to within 6 points, and ended up with a 250 yard advantage for the game. They lost, but improved and showed they were in it. A&M is not even in it and is apparently not on some kind of development track. Unless it is to round up top recruits and out-talent the opposition. But as we learned at Texas, you still have to coach and develop. Right now 2-4 Texas finished feel better than A&M fans are feeling and haven't even finished the first half.
At least they think they "Rule Texas!" I think they should worry about the states in their conference. Frauds! The fire Sumlin movement has started. All those blue chip recruits should reconsider their bleak futures.
What I see here is a pending shift in power back to Texas. After 2 1/2 years of hype, bad boys and helicopters, the door is about to open wide for CS and his staff. The bloom is off the Aggy rose, big-time, and with Baylor going down decisively, the timing could not be better for the Horns to get it together now, next week, and for the rest of the season. Wow, opportunity is knocking...
Strong is building a foundation that is never run out of a game. Had a terrible 3rd quarter in BYU game, and was a learning experience i the 2nd game of the season and his time here. UCLA, Baylor and OU... no quit. Mistakes, bumbling, yes. But no quit, and the process has been on up-curve. A&M is about to face a nightmare of a half-time. We'll see if Alabama lets up.
Texags back to the old ways with multiple threads about the 77-0 game and one about what quitters this team is.
Tide seems to score all their TDs standing up while crossing the goal line. Framers aren't giving them many problems.
I might actually get upset if CBS changes to another game...watching this makes up for the disappointment after Baylor killed a number of my parlays and teasers (some of which were giving the points and some were just with the teased over).
Popularity of the thread is part reaction to A&M bolting the conference for greener pastures. And part a demonstration why A&M is not necessarily a better aimed program than the one at Texas. Strong has been beaten up for core values, blue-collar work, while trumpets sounded for Aggie swag. Well compare this half with the OU game just played a week ago. Compare the directions of the two programs. Without the hot air in the maroon balloons.
