The Link Again just wanted to post this here as I did the other thread to be sure and let Robert and Katy know how grateful we all are to have had this site for so long. Thanks to all the posters here also. Maybe it can return some day or even keep going in some form!
Thanks for all you guys did for Longhorn Nation - it's like leaving college - something you know has to end someday - but you don't want it to- Hook'em forever!!!
I had alot of fun with you guys at road games. I was at the Iowa State game in Ames in 2003 when someone tried to cut the blimp free. Man I barely even remember that blimp. And I hung out with you guys at many UT baseball game tailgates and Robert was always so generous. Thanks for that too. Surprises me a little but I never once made it to a HF football home game tailgate before you guys stopped that. And I have been to basically all of the UT home games since my freshman year in 1993 [I've missed 2 in that span]. Man, I miss that blimp. When you are on the road, it's nice to see that blimp and then follow it to beer and nice UT fans.
You TWO have been a home away from home for us and SO many others. Thank you, AGAIN, for all you've done for ALL of us. m/
Thank you very much for all that you have done. I posted separately, but want to reiterate how much I appreciate the high standards with which you ran this board. I always held it up as the model that should be followed on all message boards. Good luck in all your future endeavors! Hook'em!!!
The night before party (at Meami's?} when we were playing the Buckeyes in the HorseShoe where they never lose at night was the absolute best time ever. Thank You both so much for everything. You're the epitome of what TEXAS fans are.
Thank you. I grew up (a little) as a football fan on this board. It's good to have a place where people are not afraid to tell you how stupid your opinions are. God bless you both.
I haven't been by in a long time, but I heard the news and thought I'd stop by one last time to say Thank You for all of the good times, the great memories and the many friends I made through this site. Hook'Em!
HorninChicago, You're spot on about the drunk buckeyelettes at "Meamis". Had one of those same lovelies grab my Longhorn cap on game day while she was sitting on a guy's shoulders. Fortunately i saw it coming and held onto my cap firmly and kept walking. She fell over backwards and poured her beer all over herself and the guy she was atop. Worst fans ever, no contest. Glad they went home crying that night.
Robert and Katy Agnor: the two most generous people I have ever met. Thank you so very much for all you have given to Longhorndom for so many years. I cherish that I made your acquaintance through your web site and then in person. All those home tailgates and all those away ones as well. So many memories including the blimp rope cutter at ISU; the ice chest robbers at KSU; but also all the great times in your refuges at away games like at EconoLodge at Tech or meeting up with you at Ole Miss or meeting Cory in Glendale or meeting Mary at your party. No words can ever thank you both for all you have meant to all of us. Thanks for your friendship and for your generosity. See you in Lubbock.
All good things must end but doesn't mean we have to like it. And all things happen for a reason they say but sure can't think of a good one on this........well other than two great folks may get some relief. Thanks Robert and Katy. Love thus site. It is a real part of my Longhorn life!
I have mostly lurked, but I have done so for a number of years. Loved the website and the forum. Thanks for running it.
Sorry to see yall go. Have been lurking since the 80's when in Hou. Met Robert and Katie at a baseball in Aus just after I signed up. Am retired now and will miss this site mucho. Hook 'em. Lou
I appreciate you both and keeping this site up for so many years. I enjoyed reading and posting on the various forums. It's been great fun. Thank you!
