I like seeing that, but it really irks me that Texas is not in the conversation.

Queue our resident aggy to tell us it's because they beat each other up and their tough non-conference schedules. [IMG]

    This says it pretty well.

We may not be in the conversation yet, but we are sitting at the right table. We may start yelling soon and won't be ignored.

I think puffing chests over conference affiliation is relatively annoying. To me, this article is just funny because I get tired of fans of sec teams rooting for a conference.

In my opinion, it's a negative that TCU and Baylor are doing as well as they are.

    BIG 12- 90.3

I'm about to bust my buttons with pride.

We couldn't be in this position if it wasn't for that aggy boat anchor leaving us to go drag down the SEC, so I want to take the time to thank all of our resident aggy lurkers for their help with placing the Big XII in our current lofty ranking.

I don't know if KSU can stay good, but if OU recovers (they will as long as stoopsies is around), Charlie can right the ship at UT, and OSU can get some respectable teams together and the rest of the conference (at least WVU and TT) can get it a bit more together, the big "12" will be dominant again like it was pre-2008. I don't see Baylor or TCU going away as long as their coaches stick around.

I really didn't post the link to brag about Big 12, but more to smack SEC folks off their high horse... That said, I would much rather a Big 12 team win any game over any other team... unless them winning affects our ranking somehow. haha.

no surprise. losing a&m to the sec increased the strength of our conference and reduced the strength of theirs all in one shot. We owe this honor to those dumb-asses in college station.

What's cool about this is that right now, the Big XII is clearly not what it has been in past years. Texas will get better. OU will... OK I'm starting to think they may have peaked. OSU will get better. Tech will get move up to average. And I really don't think K State has one of its better teams this year to begin with.

The article talks about more than just the percentage. Articles on ESPN don't usually point out that the SEC is probably overrated and this article does that. I'm not saying that the SEC wasn't good or still isn’t... but it isn't as good as it was… and its time the buzz got out there that they have probably been benefitting from the reputation that ALL teams in the SEC are hard, when in reality they are all just OK but they aren’t challenged by the teams they schedule outside the conference, so the perception that they are hard remains untouched because they tear up weak teams and only drop games against each other…
    But whatever… it’s all insignificant…
