Staying in River North, just a couple of blocks off the Magnificent Mile. We'll be attending the Cavs-Bulls game. Also plan on seeing the Lincoln Park Zoo, Museum of Science & Industry, Navy Pier, and some bar at the top of the Hancock building with great views.

    Any other suggestions?

How was it? I've never been to Chi-town.

But to elaborate, the city is just beautiful, and I love being able to hop on a reliable and well planned public transportation system. *insert evil glare at austin city planners*

I like the diverse population, and the people there were SO KIND!!! I went to New Orleans this summer expecting people to be friendly and welcoming, but they were jerks. Chicagoans were friendly and so helpful.

I saw sooooo much. The people love their city, and it's easy to see why. I'd leave Austin in a heartbeat for Chicago. The only thing missing is the 40.

    Go Bulls. Go Blackhawks!

Great city indeed but the winter is a bit much for me anymore. I have more than paid my dues in cold weather and I do not really love 4 seasons. It's a fantastic place to visit and spend time but for me, only when it is warm. I feel the same way about D.C., NYC and a few other cities.

Glad you had a great time. Rush Street is always fun or at least it used to be.

We stayed just a couple of blocks off Rush St, right on the red line. Great location just north of the river. Watching this cowboys game makes me want to go back! We had gone for my 30th birthday. Maybe again for my 31st? lol
