tOSU is the truest champion of this year's college football playoff.

Unfortunately, in all sports, sometimes the "best team" doesn't win the championship, but that winner is deserving of the title since they won the title game according to the rules as written.

Anyone doubt that UH's "Phi Slamma Jamma" was the best men's BB team c. 1982-84? But they lost title games to NCState and Georgetown.

Sucked to be them, but someone else won the right to be called "national champions" and UH did not.

Sports isn't an exact science. It's why they play the game, I think a few people have said.

That's bs. There were several years where the BCS pitted the 2 far and away most deserving, accomplished, and talented teams in college football. In 2005, Texas vs. USC was exactly the case. And either would mop the floor all night long with this tOSU team. As long as there was major controversy as to who was the most legit #4, which there was, tOSU is not the truest champion ever simply because multiple teams had a claim to the new format.

Anyone that claimed 2005 Texas wasn't the absolute rightful #2 team going into the title game should abandon watching college football as they are clueless. That's what I call a true championship game. No debate, no questions, the 2 best teams settled it on the field. TCU and tOSU didn't settle anything in regards to that #4 spot, neither did Baylor.

If you have a 100% chance to end the game by kneeling the ball and the other team will not get the ball back, you kneel it. Simple.
