for all the work you put into this past recruiting season. You had better and more timely information than any other source I had access to.. You kept my butt on the chair in front of my computer and my fingers clicking refresh as I awaited for your next update. Again, Thank you so much! Hook 'Em an aging Horn
Thanks for the kind words. Now, what I need to do is to be as good a slacker as I can, to get that "guru" thing go away form under my name .... So I'm trying not to look at 2016 recruiting but not working so far. Recruiting is the least known addiction in this world, but we all know its effect! Junior day is upon us in a few days. Here we go again
Agreed! Jayakris made this recruiting merry-go-round even more fun and interesting. I think we will remember this one for a while.
Personally I do not consider recruiting an addiction. I know by definition some people may put it in that category but not me, I think of it as football before spring football, before summer practice, before football season. Thanks again for all the info.
I want to thank you also. I quit posting on this site a couple of years ago, because of the flamers. This time, I asked a question about the juco's eligibility, and got a great answer from you,and wasn't flamed for not reading EVERY POST about when they committed.
Let me add a salute as well. You made it really enjoyable for so many of us and, even though you failed to bring in Murray, Mack and Soso, at least this time, I'm willing to look the other way...
I have to agree that you heightened the enjoyment of it both with solid information, opinions and thought out speculations. You did not try to be overly sensational, clever or in love with yourself like many others. Yet you were very clever and entertaining. I am one who does not allow myself to get too into the goings on of H.S. kids nor let it affect me too much. But you brought the excitement of recruiting back to me this year and I had more fun than in the past few years. I also kept hitting refresh when I could. Should we call you gooey instead of guru?
As a member of the category of Hornfans who are card-carrying lurkers, I want to face you, stand up straight, and give a Strong salute to you. You inspire and give awe to those who do not take the time to learn the technique that you have for uncovering the truth. You, sir, are an impartial jurist with a journalistic style. That is rare in the world of the internet. AND most of all I want to thank your for all the time and effort that you put into the posts in helping us understand the detail and realize what is fact and what is your thoughtful deduction. I was one of those who kept tuning in and looking for your byline to find out the latest news these past few weeks. You are indeed one of those professors whose class is worth attending. Keep up with your leadership.
Thanks for a job well done. It enabled me to keep up with recruiting without having to read endless arguments about who is or isn't butthurt, delusional or obsessed.
This post was made just before going to the new 2015 platform. Post as normal after it if you wish. WorsterMan (10,000+ posts) 02/10/15 08:07 AM Re: Thanks Jayakris!
