Ok, its time. The day before the opener. We are the underdog. Who wins, what's the score?

Don't trust Swoops yet. He's got to earn it. Young Defense will get fooled once too often. Hard fought, hearts will be busting.

Tough opening game on the road against a quality team, we still have a fairly young squad.
    38 ND
    20 Horns
    :(

Charlie is rebuilding though and I’m optimistic for the future. :hookem:

Notre Dame dropped 4 out of their last 5 and they are starting a QB with less experience (1 start) than Ty. They have some big injuries too. You guys are buying into the yearly hype of ND.

We might well lose, but we are not going to get beat by more than a TD.

I think it'll be like 21-13 Domers. A special teams or defensive score is the big difference.

We either lose 31-7 or win 9-7. Kelly has a history of week one upset losses and Strong has a history of week one wins so we have a chance to pull the upset.

Big, fast running QB plus play-action is gonna be too much for a talented, yet inexperienced LB corps to contain. Their fiery play will understandably include a handful of costly assignment busts. Really harsh offensive dynamic to first face for such a green unit.

    31-20 Notre Lame.

Vulcan logic dictates the Domers will dominate and win 28-10.
But the crazy orange-blood in me says Horns take this 24-21.

May my logic fail me this weekend.

I am impressed with how many of my longhorn brethren are predicting our offense to score more than 20 points. If that happens it would be a very pleasant surprise. Go HOrns, Go Tyrone!!

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Wrestled with this one and still am... but most of the week I have been thinking this team somehow pulls off an incredible upset, like 24-20.

Listening to Game Day, you'd think Zaire was a 4 year starter at qb for ND. VY or Colt could start tonight, and we would still be questioned at qb.

Don't get me wrong, our qb situation is a big question mark, but isn't ND's, too?

    24-17 Texas.

I second this notion. But Tyrone looks average against a stout defense with 2 INTs. The Irish dance a jig and say good-bye gladly to the young Horns. Heard scores his first TD with a 15 yard scamper. However, we lose 20-17 ........ The QB controversy heats up even more next week.

This is a big turnaround game for Strong this year. We end the year with 9-3 winning record as long as one of the two top QBs stay healthy.

Yes, but unlike Dion I am not optimistic for the future under this regime. Time to go, already.
