I am sure there is a process of talking to the league office, sending film etc. I have not heard of anything being done as of yet.
DeLoss Dodds once responded to a question about "keeping up with the Joneses" with "We ARE the Joneses." I feel more and more every day that UT Longhorn athletics is becoming less like the Joneses and more like Thurston Howell III, rich beyond comprehension, stranded on a Pacific island with a group of misfits (BU [Mary Ann], ISU [Ginger], KSU [the Professor], OU [the Skipper], Tceh [Gilligan]), caught in a timewarp of silliness without a rescue in sight. All the time with the observer asking "If it was a 3-hour tour out of Hawaii in a tiny skiff, how far away from civilization could they be?" How far away from returning to being the Joneses can we be? And can it really be that difficult? Oh, and: Mary Ann or Ginger?
True story: Working as a concession stand volunteer, I introduced myself to the people working around me. At random the people in the next stations were Ginger and Mary Ann. Mary Ann looked amazingly like the one from Gilligan's Island. Ginger not so much, but I still had no problem remembering her name.
The more I watch the replay, the more I tend to agree with Scipio. Sump'in just ain't right here. If these refs are incompetent, they have taken that to a new level of incompetency. But it would appear that their incompetent moments were directed at Texas, very little at OSU. And yes, it is time to look at leaving this conference.
If I had to choose just one, I'd go Mary Ann -- but can't you let a guy dream by giving "both" as an option?
Seriously, I'm so tired of that crap. I was talking about it with Matthew McConaughey the other day and he totally agreed.
Those are all the issues that would need to be addressed to make the move. We could approach the BIG or the PAC12, or in the alternative consider going independent. Lot of details to work out first, and get the ducks in a row before we set sail on the endeavor, or even approach another conference.
