Longhorns Flyswatters

Hi Longhorn Fans. I'm from Richmond, VA and I'm giving this board a shot.

I've come across 5 boxes (24 per box) of brand new in package Texas Longhorn Flyswatters from Team Sports America.

I'm looking to move the entire lot together if anyone is interested. Make me an offer (plus shipping cost). If you have questions or want to see a picture let me know!

Maybe it's just me but a fan branded fly swatter is really scraping the bottom of the swag barrel. Got any Longhorn nose hair trimmers?

 

Was this an idea of Steve Patterson to build the Longhorn brand?

 

I know it's winter time and bugs are limited, but did you test all 120 flyswatters or is this like an ebay scam.

 

I hate the off season......

OK, sorry Jeff, trying to think outside the crotch but do you have any available UT branded ED products that you would recommend? ED is what is HOT in marketing / advertising today...

My biz minor was marketing... I can help you with marketing & branding all kinds of burnt orange swag for a reasonable fee but the market is already fairly mature and our "brand", as of late, has been tarnished a little amigo!

No offense, but you already humped the puppy. If you had labeled them "Patterson Swatters" or "Powers Swatters" they whole lot would have been gone in less than ten minutes. You might consider changing the logo and marketing them on TexAgs as "Murray Swatters" - they'll buy anything.

Stencil "Fire Charlie" on all of em and call them Dead Horse Beaters.

@LonghornCatholic I'll submit a request into the Hornfans Programming Dept and see what can be done. It's a holiday so be patient.

 

Being from rural northeast Texas and well versed on this particular subject, I have given this some thought.

I might have been interested, had they been shaped like the late Bevo's tail. There are no better flyswatters with Longhorn "connections."

As for LC, he must perform some penance to like his own posts.

I suggest the Darrel Royal Rosary of "dancing with the one that brung ya" and that "three things can happen when you pass and two of them are bad."

Then at least 10 "Hail Earls."

 

I say a statistic has to be attached to the LIKE count so we know who is stuffing the ballot box. something like "X, Y, Z and 107 others like this (includes 106 Selfies)" .

not saying that's what you would do, LC.

 

Here's a name for the prospective new ED med for UT fans..... Bevo's Bulge ...little burnt orange pill.

Hornsfans--I couldn't have expected more entertaining (and hilarious) responses! I don't even care if they sell it was worth it to see these!

If they were white the splattered bug would show up too clearly on the swatter--this way since it's black you can swat thousands of flies and never even notice!

BTW--we're still smarting up here from stealing Shaka from us!

 

Sooooooo....obviously these are excellent conversation pieces----soooo who wants to buy them???

I'll call them whatever you want: Patterson Swatters, Sooner Swatters, Aggie Smashers, Shaka Swatters....the possibilities are endless!

 

Sandbox, what you actually have found is a box of aggy swatters. They are used primarily when intolerable situations begin to occur such as when boarding a two hour SW Airlines flight and an overweight aggy booger eater wearing an aggy SEC shirt begins to eyeball the empty seat next to you. The aggy swatter must be used sparingly and with great care at family gatherings to avoid hurt feelings by associated family members.

I was being mean. LC knows he is special. Maybe not a snowflake but special anyway.

 

The only snowflake I am aware of on these boards is NBHorn7.

 

Personally, I "Like" @LonghornCatholic. He went to high school with my great-grandfather, "Poops." Poops would tell us how LC ran for every school and club office there was, but no one ever voted for him. He did come in 3rd as a write-in for Prom Queen, though.

I guess what I'm saying is that LC has always needed to be "Liked," and we HornFanners should be there for him.
