I don't blame him for not coming. If he came here he'd be behind too many other backs and wouldn't get much playing time.
What is the attraction to Arkie? SEC? Early playing time? Fayetteville? Beilema (sp?)? Best of luck to Whaley wherever he ends up especially if the Horns can flip him but I doubt it will happen.
Who is next on the radar for a RB position? I see Humphrey as a potential TE/HBack. Kyle Porter looked pretty good in the state championship game but I haven't heard his name mentioned here other than as having an offer.
IIRC, Arkansas has a huge need at RB this year too. The depth chart is pretty wide open for them due to guys leaving and injuries. Besides, who wouldn't want to run behind that offensive line?
The Whaley Situation The staff has felt somewhat confident in being able to flip Devwah Whaley from Arkiesaw. However, our depth chart is killing us in this race because we have FOUR already here (Foreman, Warren, Johnson, Houston). Meanwhile, Arkansas' top tailback just declared for the draft. Whaley likes the run-first approach of the Arkansas O. There is an illness in the Whaley family that may cause him to stay close to home. Its a factor that works for us and against the the Pigs. We'll see how much that means, soon. The staff plans to roll out the red carpet for DW when he visits. Arkie is trying desperately to see that the UT visit does not happen.
