Important changes regarding Texas Athletics ticket sales processes

As you are a loyal Texas Athletics ticket holder, we write to make you aware of ticket sales and process changes.

For the past two years, ticket sales and service operations were provided by The Aspire Group. Operating as Sales, Service and Retention, the area maintained two teams -- one dedicated to cultivating new ticket customers and the other providing service to renewing or previous ticket purchasers. Beginning Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, we are moving these operations to a Ticket Sales and Services team comprised of Texas Athletics employees who will manage all new sales, renewals and service inquiries.

We are making this change for several reasons. Based on feedback, moving to one team for new or returning customer inquiries provides a more streamlined customer service experience. Second, we believe it is in the best interest of our donors, fans and campus constituents to manage these relationships internally. Third, it gives fans and donors a choice in how they wish to receive service and assistance. Finally, this change allows Texas Athletics to manage these resources, allowing additional funds for student-athlete and program support.

Please direct all sales and services calls to our tickets main line, 512-471-3333. Our goal is to provide a seamless transition and excellent customer service.

Should you have other comments or questions, please contact us via email at tickets@athletics.utexas.edu or call us 512-471-3333.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Texas Athletics and our student-athletes!

I actually thought the packaging and communication on season tickets was quite well done by Aspire. I am not sure this is an upgrade.

    Phil,

While I wasn't a fan of Aspire, they were always accommodating because there was always the threat of firing them. When it was in-house before, we dealt with minor problems of "clothes for tickets", but nothing serious.

As long as none of the "three Ps" (Powers, Patterson, Plonsky) have anything to do with it, I'll wait and see.
