So a conservative writer posted the same thing on twitter that comedy actress Leslie Jones (Ghostbusters/SNL) tweeted about a year ago.
And she sent it to Jones herself.
    What do you suppose happened?

Here is the original from March 8, 2015

Here is the one sent by the conservative

You have probably already guessed what happened
    Twitter suspended Kassy Dillon.
    Did nothing to Leslie Jones.

The thing with Twitter is just like the MSM. It's not that they are in the tank for Dems, it's that they continue to say that they are not only not in the tank, but totally unbiased. Shyeah.

Based on things I have read about Twitter in recent years I think they may just not be managed very well. There have been enough other screw-ups that make this one seem likely to not be so politically sinister.

OK, I could buy that. Please post ONE instance where such bad management was in favor of a conservative viewpoint at the expense of a more, uh, "progressive" one.

I haven't paid attention to the politics of it, just pointing out that there seems to be a questionable level of competence generally with the company.

Politics aside, Twitter is an interesting animal. They need to make money but I don't know if they have found a good business model yet. It is a useful tool for some things, but I think it gets a bad rap because of the all the stupid **** and drama that's attached to it. But as always that's a people issue, not technology.

This is exactly their elephant in the room. They've been working at this paramount problem for a long while now and no attempted solution has remotely worked.

It's a necessity for the entertainment world and engaged followers, yet they can't viably monetize the addiction without ruining the model that retains value (free) for users.

Bottom line is nobody is willing to pay for it and they don't have a platform suited for creative crossover revenue streams like FB.

After studying this ordeal for a while now, I'm close to concluding Twitter will bite the dust or be replaced by a more creative platform/competitor before they see $40 again.

Just the MSM, of which Twitter is one part, doing what they do; burying what they don't want John Q. Public to see. And conversely, they're pretty good at emphasizing what they do want them to see.

God help us. There is very little integrity in the press corps anymore. Everybody pushes one party line or the other.

As @Driver 8 mentioned above, Twitter gets more attention for all the drama and negativity than it does for its usefulness.

For example, I follow several Twitter accounts for UT-related things, and I have found it to be really valuable for getting news and updates that I would not normally have seen (without navigating around to dozens of websites to find it). I see it as a kind of aggregator of things that are of interest to me, with links to more content on the web if I want to dive deeper.

On Feb 3, National Signing Day, Twitter was a great platform because various organizations and individuals were tweeting updates about recruits, in pretty much real-time, so we could update the site with all the latest news and commentary about it.

Like the web in general, it can be a mouthpiece for the idiots as well as the folks you want to pay attention to. If someone in your Twitter feed starts getting weird, just unfollow and they disappear.

Siri is now engaging in the same type of blatant political bias as Twitter and Google
Here it is censoring any reference to the film "Hillary's America" (top grossing documentary of 2016)

Trump agrees with you that the media is biased and corrupt. He's on a tear today about the MSM. He's even talking about not allowing people with NY Times credentials into his events. That would be funny.

This is the part about Trump that I actually like. It's nice having a candidate who fights back for a change.

Companies routinely employ "SEO" experts to optimize their web pages for search engines. One of the biggest advantages of doing so is getting your result to show up as a featured result and/or a snippet.

While I can't rule out actual bias, it seems more likely that Clinton's team has outsmarted and/or outspent Trump's team on SEO.

Told ya - TWITTER secretly censored tweets critical of Obama

"In 2015, then-Twitter CEO Dick Costolo secretly ordered employees to filter out abusive and hateful replies to President Barack Obama during a Q&A session, sources tell BuzzFeed News.

    * * * *

According to a former senior Twitter employee, Costolo ordered employees to deploy an algorithm (which was built in-house by feeding it thousands of examples of abuse and harassing tweets) that would filter out abusive language directed at Obama. Another source said the media partnerships team also manually censored tweets, noting that Twitter’s public quality-filtering algorithms were inconsistent. Two sources told BuzzFeed News that this decision was kept from senior company employees for fear they would object to the decision...."

"According to sources, the decision upset some senior employees inside the company who strictly followed Twitter’s long-standing commitment to unfettered free speech.

In its early years, Twitter took numerous public stands against censorship, even fighting a secret government order to provide user information for WikiLeaks. In 2011, Twitter senior executives published a blog post titled “The Tweets Must Flow.”

“There are Tweets that we do remove, such as illegal Tweets and spam,” the post read. “However, we make efforts to keep these exceptions narrow so they may serve to prove a broader and more important rule — we strive not to remove Tweets on the basis of their content.” Not long after the post, Twitter executives began publicly touting that “Twitter is the free speech wing of the free speech party.”
