Bill Little has a nice writeup on TexasSports.com about the UT-ND 1913 Thanksgiving Day game: Texas-Notre Dame Chronicles: Part One -- The First Meeting
Good article and film. Let's give them the Royal treatment when they come down next week and provide them with their first L of the season to take home. #HookEm.
Wish the game was at 3 or 4 instead of 6:30. Heat to those who are not used to it is a great equalizer.
We played ND again on Thanksgiving in 1915, and therein lies a partial key to our Thanksgiving quandary. I doubt the Irish would want to play every Thanksgiving, but I think a rotation of Notre Dame plus the military academies (as one possibility) every 4 years on Thanksgiving might be doable, and would be an awesome tradition.
