Sponsorship Drive - Hornfans Needs Your Support

It’s been about a year and a half now since the new Hornfans was launched in February 2015, and I think things have gone very well in that time due to the great community here.

If you enjoy Hornfans and find value in it, I am asking you to consider making a commitment to help support the site. It takes time, effort, and funds to keep it going, and right now I am running it all solo — monitoring and managing the site, software integrations and updates, user support, server management — seven days a week. So I am asking for your help. Is it worth a buck or two per week?

Sponsorships are available for as little as $5 per month or $50 per year. Every bit helps. See the Sponsorships page for more info, or PM me if you have questions. If you are not a registered member of Hornfans or you prefer to make a one time contribution, use the donation page at hornfans.com/donate.

    PayPal Alternative

If you prefer not to use PayPal for your sponsorship signup I have added a second method for a secure credit/debit card payment option.

To the current sponsors who help support the site — thank you. :hookem:

    Ladies & Gents,

I communicate with Dionysus often... he quietly & graciously goes about doing virtually everything to keep this website we love going. Besides a great deal of his time that he gives freely, it costs money to run a technology robust website like this.

Including me, it is time to renew your sponsorship or step up and become a new sponsor on some level. Whatever you can afford... monthly or annually.

Please, click on the LINK Dionysus provided & help out as best you can today.

    Thank you.

    Your humble HF servant.

I'm in...as long as Buechele starts on 9/4/16. :headbang:

    (Actually I'm in regardless.)

If the level we were subscribed at no longer exists, will the system accept two at a lower level that combine for the amount?

All levels that existed before should still be there, maybe I misunderstand the question. The Sponsorships page lists all available monthly and annual levels.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list... your last level used should be there...

it is there but it isn't letting me re-subscribe at that level...unless the resubscribe option won't actually appear until it expires later this afternoon...in which case, umm...my bad.

My mistake — you are already subscribed on a monthly plan so no need to do anything. Thank you!

but...will I need to do anything this afternoon? It shows that it expires in about an hour?

No, it “expires” and then renews immediately because it is set as monthly recurring.

Not very intuitive but that’s how it works... :idk:

    oh...ok...

I'll settle for "not very intuitive but that's how it works" on the field if it gets us to 10-2 (or better) :hookem::vy:

Thank you, Dionysus for keeping this going. I appreciate the fact that on this site I don't have to wade through a lot of nastiness to get to the good posts. It's worth supporting, so I just made an additional donation.

Thanks for all your efforts to preserve and maintain a quality site and I might say improve the software greatly. Keep up the great work.

I urge everyone who is not signed on as a sponsor to do this asap. We all love this site. And for good reason. Dion has upgraded it, made it more user friendly, more fun etc etc

There is no better web site to share our love, heartache, anger, obsessions, etc about the horns; no other place where we can disagree civilly, etc. than at this site.

Even a membership at the lowest level will go a long way to pull this ship. :hookem2:

You're plan worked @Dionysis. I signed up to remove the incessant Trump ads. ;)

I wish I could take credit for that strategy but I’m not that smart. Anyway, the ads are delivered through Google’s program so I am limited on what I can do about it without just blocking every category...

    Yeah guys & gals,

When you become a sponsor there is a built in and overlooked benefit. Besides helping the website, consider that you get a bonus of making the ads disappear when you sponsor!!

I know it's not your fault. Afterall, what you get from the revenue (likely not much) is needed. Given the my West Mall activity I thought it funny to point out that I'd rid myself of them.

LOL, I got an e-mail receipt for my contribution as if it was a charity donation. If only.

well...it is...in a way. Your contribution helps to benefit others in their support of a fine endeavor that might not otherwise be available to the less fortunate.

I can probably pile it deeper if need be... :coolnana:

Besides...how else might some people find out that :ousucks::ousucksnana:
(which of course makes this community service, not to be confused with the community service often associated with that program that still sucks)
