If you read my original post, I don't think we should be preranking teams. I didn't dismiss A&M's win. We just don't know enough to know if they beat a top 20 team.
one game suspension for the hit by LSU's Boutte on Wisconsin's Dixon. http://www.espn.com/college-footbal...e-game-late-hit-wisconsin-badgers-dcota-dixon
I watched the game and the Wisconsin player made the interception and went to the ground. He then got up and was running toward the bench holding the ball in the air. Boutte clocked him good and then faced the Wisconsin players and started taunting them. Just does not seem likely he did it on accident. A one game suspension for a game they will win anyway seems light but that's the way it goes.
Well yes. An Aggie quarterback beating a Division II or Directional School at home on Labor Day weekend is the bar that has been set in Hooterville for a couple of decades. So you should take great pride in the Toads win just as you will in playing Prairie View this weekend as you start making CFB Playoff plans.
Because SEC SEC SEC! See, we knew some aggy would come around and try to defend the honor of their conference. Which is pretty cute since no Bama fan would notice or bother - and they ARE the SEC. But if endearing yourself to other teams is the best thing you have going - I guess you ought embrace it.
How many of you watched Florida State against Mississippi, noticed the primo athletes Ole Miss has stockpiled at OL, DL and WR and thought to yourself, "I wonder how much he's getting paid?"
I think we should commend Aggie for playing and beating a good team from the PAC 12. A&M could sell out the stadium playing Sam Houston State.
I agree. It was actually a breath of fresh air seeing the SEC overall play a legit opening-week schedule. The results (6-6) were unsurprising.
Don't be silly, Worster. Against any SECSECSEC team, the likes of Ohio U will play above their level and provide a slobber knocker defense fest that teams like Texas, relegated to the Big XII, can only dream about.
someone told them that they were playing THE Ohio U. And, being Tennessee, they believed it was 'the Ohio" which means they will claim this as a showing of the tough SEC defenses against the notorious BIG (and without anyone disabusing them of that notion because they are too busy laughing).
Well, I guess SEC will be expanding to 16 teams after this season, Ohio U will be joining Nicholls on their invite to the SEC.
So, I am watching the Florida vs. Tenn game and I was thinking to myself, "who is the best at recovering a fumble in college football?" Gary Danielson must have heard me because apparently Tenn is ONE of the best in college football at recovering a fumble.
I could be wrong but I have only watched a few minutes of Tenn. - Fla. and I already have a feeling Tenn. will overall play poorly, make killer mistakes and continue to their losing streak to the gators. We will see.
Outscored Florida 38-7 and broke an 11 game losing streak. I'll enjoy the second half dominance for a couple minutes, but man they acted like they just won a national championship. I hope they don't lay an egg next week now.
