Only decision Major has to make is living in Sherwood Forest or The Country Club, both of which flooded last month.

Military, as for it being temporary, the only good I see is that we get a chance to get our AD and President settled. Choose the wrong people, and we are calling Larry Fedora.

 

Oregeron is a huge lightning rod for the NCAA, not that it would matter in Baton Rouge. Naming him interim makes me believe they have their guy and a deal is set.

Alleva is probably next. I'm sure Stevie Patterson has already applied for his job, or at least had KornFairy apply for him.

more NFL players currently than anyone.........but he had 2 glaring def......he couldn't recruit a QB and his offense was Greg Davis at best...record since 2013 vs Bama, Ole Miss, Arky and Auburn is 4-9..........sounds kinda like Mack part 2 and the only title he won was with Saban's players.

 

Thought that would happen after their loss to Auburn last night, but not until seasons end. Guess the LSU crowd had enough LM and lack of offense.

I just don't believe Herman will take this job without lots of cash and without seeing what else is available. Before Saban/Miles LSU was inconsistent and generally sucked with the additional bonus of not great money and ignorant fan base. Just saying. Great job for someone but why would the hottest commodity geaux there? Fast forward Briles might right now.

 

Thought so....that's why Briles has been lobbying so much lately, with all the interviews and Ken Starr saying he's an honorable man etc. Disgusting!!

I'm not surprised that Briles could get a head coaching job for next year. I just assumed it would be at a lower level football school and that he would have to follow a path similar to Bobby Petrino. I'm not sure if Briles could still be drawn into some legal actions in the future for his Baylor years. Perhaps his attorneys can insure that won't happen.

Louisiana has CIVIL law and the other 49 states have Common Law. Briles will be safe in La. until the Civil Code can develop a definition for "lack of institutional control" or "if I didn't see it personally it did not happen".

Does anyone really believe Herman would go to LSU?

 

I almost hope Herman does take the LSU job. That eliminates the person voted into the Governor's office from interfering in things he knows nothing about just so he can get more money in his coffers. Wait. Greg Abbott is Governor? "Things he knows nothing about" really covers such a broad spectrum for Abbott that they could be used for the base of The Rocky Mountains. Well, at least he got his fundraiser at Fertitta's house to promote expansion of the Big XII.

 

Just think Herman has a good job with no pressure at UH and if he manages to get to playoffs or into the Big 12, Tillman and the UH cabal will pay him to stay until a much better program comes up. As a bonus, if you fail, would you rather be hated by the UH fan football base (1/3 of Harris County) or the state of Louisiana (for the same money)?

 

Briles was dismissed from the lawsuit against Baylor on a technicality. Plaintiff's attorney has promised a suit directly against Briles.

 

If they are smart, they will get Art Briles.

 

Strange things going on in cajun country. The Miles mess was even bigger than the Mack mess. Raise at UH or not, Herman has to be on top of the list.

 

I think there is a decent chance Orgeron shines and drops the "interim". The guy is charismatic and a terrific motivator. He shined during an interim gig at USC and has a perfect Louisiana accent. Also, I find the phrase "Flowers for Orgeron" extremely pleasing.

 

Could be since the $EC is the only conference that would welcome him and condone his recruiting practices. However Herman has won something as a HC so I would think it is Herman's job to turn down (aggy's worse nightmare - so a good thing).
