"Ahmad Khan Rahami, the suspect in this weekend's New York City and New Jersey terrorist attacks, is in many ways quite typical of jihadist terrorists in the United States since 9/11. He is an American citizen, not a foreigner, a refugee or a recent immigrant.

That is overwhelmingly the profile of the approximately 360 jihadist terrorists who have been indicted or convicted in the States since 9/11 of crimes ranging in seriousness from sending small sums of money to an overseas terrorist organization to murder. According to
research by New America, 80% of these militants are American citizens or legal permanent residents."

This is the problem with allowing folks from the middle east into our country. There's still a strong attachment to their lives before and when their new life in America doesn't play out to their liking (ie, didn't get the American dream) they want to lash out. IMO, this is especially true of 2nd generations. They perceive themselves as Americans, Brits or whatever and when they aren't accepted by the rest of the population as full citizens then many of them get angry at the system.

That's why we should spend our energy creating a place within the Middle East that all the refugees can go instead of spending our money to bring potential malcontents and terrorists into our country.

Exactly. Surely there are enough countries with the same or worse problems that form a coalition and create safe spaces in the ME. I bet we could get a YUUGE majority vote here and in the Euro countries to do this and fund it
Even though we would lay out billions it would be cheaper than wht we are spending now .

His neighbors said at one time he was funny and full of life. He then just changed. So he was a part of that peaceful religion until he wasn't. Isn't that the way it usually happens? That being said, how does vetting work at all? They get vetted when they are peaceful. But then they turn to terrorism. How does vetting stop that?

I don't think they can be vetted. First of all, we know next to nothing about the adults that come from these places because they don't live on the grid the way we do. Secondly, many of the terrorist were children when they migrated.

Their immigration is of little utilitarian value to the US. They don't add to our GDP or capabilities for the most part. They only argument that holds water is a humanitarian rational. Are we really prepared to trade our safety for this? Why not provide them opportunity in a way that doesn't simultaneously open us up for more terrorism.

This is about Arcan Cetin, the Seattle mall shooter
    Not the NJ/NT terrorists

Cetin is a Muslim and Turkish immigrant
    He is not a citizen.
Yet it looks like he voted 3 times in US elections

The state says he voted in this year's primary but they did not tell us which one

"We don’t have a provision in state law that allows us either county elections officials or the Secretary of State's office to verify someone’s citizenship," explained Secretary of State Kim Wyman. "So, we’re in this place where we want to make sure we’re maintaining people’s confidence in the elections and the integrity of the process, but also that we’re giving this individual, like we would any voter, his due process. We’re moving forward, and that investigation is really coming out of the investigation from the shootings."

It probably would only take them about 10 minutes to know if he's a citizen or not. So when they say investigation, they really mean were delaying until the election is over.

It turns out he MIGHT be a citizen. Is it really that difficult to know?

But on the voter fraud issue there are reports coming from all over the country that cases of dead people voting have been uncovered.
and shocked I am, they voted Dem
