Unlike Gary Johnson, the leader of the Philippines successfully named a foreign leader he admires. Personally, I would not have chosen Hitler.

Even more amazing, when he said he is like Hitler, he did not want people to get the wrong impression and clarified he specifically meant the holocaust part.

He is doing a fantastic job of making Clinton/Trump look better. That said, how can the people of the Phillipines continue to put up with this fool who has legalized police murder which has already killed thousands?

That dude is the most loony leader in the world.

My mother-in-law is Filipino although she's lived in the US for 50+ years. For some reason, the average Filipino adores him and think he's just cleaning up a problem. This is eerily similar to Trump in that people simply overlook big giant warning signs only focused on an outcome.

Is he starting wars? Running up the debt? Has a good tax policy?

Well so far he has only expressed support for Hitler's genocide policies. No word yet on if he intends to invade neighboring nations for living space.

I honestly have never been interested in the financial aspects of genocide so i do not know.

He has promised to shrink is tax base by 3 million people so probably not a good tax policy.

Doubtful. How many times has N. Korean's Kim Jong-un threaten to attack the U.S. or S. Korea for some crazy reason?

He could have tried to go with the "Hitler was good at building the autobahn and the railroads" explanation like Marge Schott did, but he went out of his way to say that Hitler's must admirable trait was his knack for murdering people (what most sane people view as his most evil trait). Gotta be proud, Filipinos.

I see you are continuing your habit of providing slanted answers to direct questions. For the record, his drug policies are no different from China or other Asian countries from the 1930's onward. While his comments about Hitler are truly deplorable, most Asians don't really care about European history.

Many people would think having a private server in one's basement on which national security and foreign policy business was conducted a GIANT warning sing
or maybe using the office of State to rake in hundreds of millions for a personal business might be considered a GIANT warning flag
or some might think lying about emails on a private server and then deleting them and smashing delivery devices would be a GIANT warning flag.
then there are others who think a servant employed as a representative of our country who lied about having NO classified material on that private server and who has been caught in that lie might see that as a GIANT warning flag.
Now THOSE are giant warning flags. Not the same as admiring Hitler but to most thinking people pretty serious GIANT warning flags that should disqualify anyone from being our POTUS.

I've dated a few Filipino women during 2016. One lives in Vegas and another in Texas...both are big Trump supporters.

Even during the primaries when I backed Rubio they touted Trump. Both are also huge supporters of Duterte.

The reason many Americans support Trump is the same reason the majority of Filipinos love Duterte...they're disgusted with massive government corruption at the highest level.

I've heard many rants on how absurdly corrupt the government was in the Philippines.

There probably are some similarities, but even Trump hasn't expressed admiration for Hitler. (At least not yet.)

I'm not praising Duterte by any means. Some things he's done were necessary, yet many others are atrocious.

Had a fiery debate with one of those Filipino women the other day about his double-standard towards drug dealers and radical Islam in his country.

He vigorously encourages and allows citizens to kill their local drug dealers and even users. Yet when it came to the radical Islam groups...

First he tried to negotiate with them and got nowhere. Then he vowed to kill them all after they beheaded hostages against his warnings. Not much happened.

Recently he banned U.S. troops from parts of the country with a heavy Muslim population so as not to insult them because of their hatred for Americans.

While he shows no mercy or due process by encouraging murder of drug dealers/users, his actions show fear and appeasement of radical Islamic groups that have committed murder in his country.
