Carla and Imani in the WBNA & I do think that was a pretty easy dunk by Imani at the end of her drill.
Dang, just a screenshot. I will need to work on embedding a video. meanwhile go to https://twitter.com/Coachgeorge15 to watch the video of Imani working out.

With last night's playoff win, Carla and the Atlanta Dream move on to face Imani's Chicago Sky on Sunday in a single elimination game. Chicago will be without EDD (thumb surgery) but they beat the Lynx just last week without her.

Half time: Chicago 56 Atlanta 50

Imani started and has 4 pts, 7 rebs, 1 assist & 2 blocks.

Carla has not played for Atlanta but WVU exe Bria Holmes has 8 pts and 2 assists.

Chicago is without star Elena Delle Donne, who is sitting out this game due to injury.

Sky open it up in the 3rd, going into the fourth with an 87-70 lead after having a six pt edge at halftime. Imani not scoring a lot but providing what they drafted her for, outstanding interior defense and rebounding. She's second in rebounding with nine and first with five blocks and has six pts.

Carla's season ends as Imani and the Sky advance with an 108-98 win over Atlanta. Imani had 8 pts, 11 rebs, one assist and six blocks. :hookem2:

No more mixed feelings watching two Texas exes facing off.
Sky will need EDD in the next series. Hope she will be able to play.
Gonna be rooting for Chicago now! :hookem:

you know, Imani's performance has to impress both current players and recruits, that if they have the talent, are willing to work and listen to the coaches, they can also play at the highest levels and play very well, indeed.

whoa! LA taking it to Chicago, leading 52-35 at the half. Imani only played four minutes. She has two fouls so I would guess she picked those up early. Backup de Souza also has two fouls in 11 minutes. For LA, Candace and Nneka combined for 32 pts on 13-16 FGs. Sky really missing EDD.

Imani got two fouls in the first three minutes or so. Sky is missing her on the floor too.

Sparks take that second game 99-84. Sky have to win the next one or the series is over. Even with Imani having poor game by her standards (zero pts, four rebs, no blocks), Sky would have had a chance if they could have hit from BTA or kept the Sparks from doing so. The difference, imo, Sky 3-13 from BTA, Spark 10-23. Ball game.

Minnesota Lynx are also on the verge of sweeping the Phoenix Mercury, winning the second game 96-86. Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner are losing to fellow Olympians Maya Moore, Lindsey Whalen, Simone Augustus and Sylvia Fowles.

Imani is certainly capable of a double double every game. :hookem: And we know she is a defensive force inside, erasing most mistakes her teammates make playing aggressive defense. Next game is Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 PM CST on ESPN2.

without EDD, the Sky just don't have the firepower to beat the Sparks. Sparks prevail 95-75 in game four, winning the semi final series 3-1.

Imani had another strong game, going 6-11 from the field and 3-6 on FTs to end up with a double double: 15 pts, 10 rebs and 3 blocks. :hookem:
