Meanwhile, the Kansas State QB, who is not even all that great, is having the game of his life due to our bad defense.
This^^^ is an example of statistics telling the story. Our defense has been atrocious. They are like boys playing men. Getting beaten in every way a defense can be beaten. And the weird thing is that ksu is not a great offense.
For us hornfans this is a gruesome horror show. For everyone else it is a side splitting comedy. Being a fan is irrational. I predicted a 13 pt loss but hold out hope that the intellectual side of me would be wrong. It is clear and has been for awhile that the light will not come on for these players under Charlie.
The definition of insanity is doing same thing again and again and expecting a different result. This coaching staff is so flawed and so in over its head that today should come as no surprise because its about fourteenth verse same as the first. K-State is carving this team up by simple plays and doing simple things because that is all it takes to beat Texas, just be solid because Texas will beat itself, it doesnt have the coaching staff to overcome basic simple mistakes. I like Charlie, he seems like a great guy, he is an awful awful awful head coach.
Its one thing to have down years, all programs have them, but to be the most pathetic laughed at program year after year!?! Pay the man and move on for crying out loud.
Just watching the first half of this game, based on this performance, I would say we have the worst coached team in the B12. And that is saying something.
They are in a tough spot considering who they are They are PC guys living in a PC world, which will make it very tough for them to do what needs to be done in this case OTOH, at some point, BMD angst will get to them I am willing to bet someone in that department has a spreadsheet made up comparing the loss of BMD funds (tickets, merchandising, suites, donations, all of it) with the Strong buyout costs
If this is what it looks like when the players are supposed to be motivated to save Charlie's job, I shudder to think what it will be like after this game when they know there is no shot at doing that.
Buechelle isn't any smarter then any of the rest of them. You know exactly where the 1st down marker is and you just lay down. Quitter. Whole team is a bunch of quitters.

and there it is......we deferred......defense did not hold and offense did not score with first possession of the second half..... tell me again why we defer?
