I thought you we talking about the way he kept time on the field. You know, like letting 10 seconds run off the clock and then calling TO.

I truly wanted Charlie to bring us back to the Royal/early Brown successes, but I am forced to admit that he won't and can't.
He seems to be a honest and likable guy and a good recruiter, but his three-year stint here leaves me with no option but to opine he is in way over his head as the head coach here.
Hate to say it, but it's time to cut him loose and hope we can find someone who can get the job done.
I'm sad for both Charlie and UT. Hook you!

What would be so interesting about Strong saying they decided the team just needs to play better and execute?

They are naive enough to think Texas can still turn it around and win 7 or 8 games....What other reason would they wait to pull the plug ? It makes no difference....At this point the coaches are all busy getting their resumés ready, more than getting the team ready to play.

Since we can't get Saban or Meyer, we should go get the BEST coach out there no matter what others say....If we want Mother Theresa we might as well be happy with the results we are getting, and settle for becoming Rice . I list them in this order due to some having PR issues ....
    Dabo
    Petersen
    Petrino
    NFL guy like Gruden etc
    Stoops
    Briles
After that...sheesh....Might as well keep Charlie unless UH's fall from the top is due to players quitting on a coach who they think is leaving them to go to greener pastures.

    54,

Dabo ain't going anywhere but Tuscaloosa no matter how much cash you throw at him.

Petersen still holds a grudge for the way Texas treated Brian Harsin, eventhough that was entirely on Mack Brown. Besides, we have already hired one coach from Washington and how did that work out? :smile1:

Petrino has been discussed. Ain't happening because it might taint our PC status.

Stoops & Briles will be somewhere below Todd Dodge on that list

NFL guy? Who? Chip Kelly? Pete Carroll?

It's Herman, Fedora, a couple of pipe dreams, and a bunch of "you've got to be ******* kidding me's"
