yes 3 things: 1. ISU figured out the land thieves cannot cover over the top and they have a super star receiver. 2. Baker Mayfield rattles very easily. I still do not understand why he is talked up so much. 3. Jesse Palmer is a douche.
Westbrook might be the best player in the country and would be in the Heisman watch if WRs weren't essentially ineligible for the award. OU's running game wasn't the same without Perine or Mixon, but their receivers were running around so wide open, and making catches even when they weren't, so it didn't matter much. Still, with both RBs playing I doubt they have been held to 6 points after half time. And not that this determined the game, but I did count at least 5 times where OL lineman flat-out tackled ISU pass rushers with no flag. And as usual, OU gets the random bounce they need in the 4th quarter of a close game.
Mixon should have been DQ'ed by the NCAA before last season. Now with the second anger issue he should be banned period with ou forfeiting ever game he played in. That is going to be the only way to impress character issues count on those guys.
RBs out, playing on the road, Thursday night, Baylor and WVU coming up......A lot of reasons not to play well, but still won. The mark of a well coached team these days ( when you see teams like tOSU losing to unranked teams )( just one example )...Winning is the only thing that matters at the end of the day. Look what we did at ISU last year.
I bet big game Bob was shaking in his boots during that game and was rethinking being the hard-line disciplinarian that he is known to be when facing a team that you're supposed to blow out by more than 21 points Well that's it I can definitely say big game Bob has learned his lesson you'll never see another OU player get suspended for a week opponent again
