To state the obvious this guy is just killing it this year. I hope he stays. And despite some questionable play calling I think Gilbert deserves credit for building a game plan around him, and Mattox for developing the o-line to make it work.

Another thing I like about him is that he doesn’t do a lot of talking or showboating, he just seems humble and plays his game. Gives a lot of credit to his o-line too. Great team player.

Ricky came back to win the Heisman, maybe Donta will too.

ESPN: Another monster day for D'Onta Foreman merits Heisman hype

“It’s so crazy because the offensive line asks me all the time, ‘Where you at?’” Foreman said. “They want me to rush for as many yards as I can. I didn’t know. Coach Strong said 341, and I was shocked.”

His linemen had no idea, either, and didn’t find out until they hit the locker room. Naturally, they went crazy. Left tackle Connor Williams said Foreman came to his big fellas, one by one, and thanked them for paving the way for another unbelievable day in a season full of them.

“I was expecting something high,” Williams said, “but that’s incredible.”

I liked the TD run where he lost his shoe. Awesome.

By the way, he needs to return. He is not in NFL shape yet.

I still think he should have been in the game instead of those late 18 wheeler packages.

Feldman has Foreman at #3 on his Heisman list this week. I don’t see anyone knocking Lamar Jackson out of the top spot but I like this recognition of Foreman

I think the coaches should be trying to get the win before individual records. But you have to ride the workhorse.

My opinion is that Foreman should/would have gotten a minimum of 12 yards in the last two possessions if called correctly.

I do think Sterlin has to be true to his style and strategies during a game.

... But this is not the time to use Jimmy as a decoy to run the picket fence.

I absolutely agree, and believe that a tried and true Forman , is better than a questionable Swoopes running the ball.

Swoopes seem to slow up when a tackler shows up in the open field. Plus I'm always afraid he's going to put the ball on the ground.

I think the question is do you take him out when he's close to a record with the game in hand.

The question shouldn't have to be asked... "why in the heck do they take him out or pass the ball with the game on the line?"

Btw, I'm only criticizing the last two possessions. I'm fine with the game overall.

Charlie needs to listen to Darrel. Something about a dance....

BTW, we miss Warren more then I thought we would. Probably not a fumble in the 3rd quarter. He'd have gotten another 75 yds yesterday. Foreman is fresh for those last 2 drives.

Ricky seems to be around the program a lot these days. I hope he has a talk with our boy 33.

Pete Carroll-esqe. Game on the line ... just need a few yards ... why not throw a slant route instead of handing the ball off the the best player on the field.

Listening to the clips above, I just have to restate the obvious, Craig Way is amazing.

You DO NOT take out your best player yards short of a huge record, period. Every football player knows you owe him that chance to keep going.

It has nothing to do with an individual accomplishment, players view it as a team accomplishment.

He'd killed it for his team all day, was still running hard, and was hands down the best option to keep the chains moving.

In football, that's seen as a betrayal. Even his face showed it on the sideline.

The coaches blew a big rallying moment. I can't tell you how pissed that made me and my text messages blew up with similar comments as soon as TS choked it up.

Reason 58 this season that it's time to move on to leadership that has a clue.

    Okay, I'll take a stab...

Your defense is playing pretty well, and you're winning by 8 with time running down. Earlier in the game, your franchise running back fumbled the ball at the goal line. Just a few minutes ago your franchise back hobbled off the field injured.

Since his back up is out for the season, regardless of today's game, your fate in the final 3 games (and maybe your job) rests very heavily on him.
    • If he aggravates the injury while carrying the ball again today, does he lose the ball again?
    • Does a player on the opposing team target his injured leg for just that reason?
    • If you think you have a good chance of holding on to today's win with other players, don't you protect him for the final few minutes?
I'm not saying it's what the staff was thinking. If it was, I actually understand why they tried the approach they did.

"We can never see past the choices we don't understand."

Wow. You saw that betrayal on his face on the sidelines, even though he has since stated that he did not know he was at 341 yards for the game until it was announced in the locker room post game?

The staff has not shown much ability to think beyond the current play, so to give them credit for putting this much thought into it is a stretch.
