http://m.newsok.com/is-it-time-for-the-big-12-to-boot-out-baylor/article/5525778 Good article from Barry Tramel, columnist from the Oklahoman. Do you think the Big 12 has the sand to kick Baylor out and replace them with Houston?
slowrider, Yes, they might kick Baylor out, but very doubtful. If the Las Colinas Cretin Corp does take action, they will not replace Baylor with Third Ward. I don't want any of them, but Cincy has that endowment, Tulane & Rice have the academics, but NO ONE has the following or media appeal. It won't surprise me if Boren pushes for Tulsa to give Oklahoma three schools. Best bet would be GT, who is really unhappy with the changes Swofford made in the ACC.
Baylor BOR also on the clock........... http://www.espn.com/espn/otl/story/...nization-demand-overhaul-baylor-board-regents
No mention of our esteemed Chairman of the Board of Regents of The University of Texas. Last count I saw, that Baylor alum had donated $50 million to Baylor. All I got from the article was that someone associated with Baylor is asking for a bigger rug in McLennan County to sweep things under.
That is one of the most callous, dumbassed things I've seen those folks do! When do we vote them out of the conference? Before or after we vote for Vermin Supreme for President? I hope it's soon...I want my damn pony!!
It's a form of mass psychosis (I'm not a shrink; I just play one on TV). The pathological desire for victory trumps everything. The line to buy t-shirts is exhibit A. It happened at Penn State and we see it across the fruited plain with fans refusing to acknowledge the cheating that goes on by their schools in recruiting. I'm a big Cowboys fan and I'm prepared for Zeke to be suspended by the league for the domestic abuse allegations against him. When I was younger I probably would have clung to any news about the woman filing a false charge. Now, I'm just going to say that I wasn't there and that the media tends to distort the facts, so whatever happens, happens. I'm not going to get in the business of attacking the women. I'm 58 and I have a daughter and a mom so I have to understand that the football machine is just that; a machine...
I was watching the Bama game and bored checked out the Baylor boards for a few. Good grief they are the meanest set of fans I've ever seen. The support for CAB no matter what is disgusting. I'll even pull for OU over them now. They are just disgusting in every sense of the word.
Can we add Rice? Rice brings football and basketball wins for the horns, a recruiting trip to Houston and another good baseball program for our already great baseball conference. We do not need to add Houston. We need to add a program to be the new bad Texas team like Baylor used to be before they sold their soul. I think Rice is perfect for that role. Plus, Rice has the Mob.
I have a good friend who graduated from Baylor. She is so convinced that Texas is behind the entire ordeal that she bet me that Art Briles would be an employee of The University of Texas by yesterday. She and her friends are convinced that Texas is going to fire Charlie Strong on December 1, and Briles will be named the new coach.
I have already explained that to her in terms that cannot be misinterpreted. Also up the bet to things that are best left undiscussed here, other than to say, I would be moved to the Soprano section of the church choir.
http://www.espn.com/college-footbal...-back-shock-linwood-suspended-attitude-issues Hmmm, maybe he would calm down a little if they provided him with a co-ed stress reliever.
Why don't you ask her to put some $ where her mouth is so you can take it. No way Biles ever see's the inside of Belmont unless a guest and even that's very unlikely.
This reminds me of Blake's last year at OU. He suspended two of his best players towards the end of the season. Brandon Daniels was suspended after he and Blake had words in practice and Daniels reportedly said, "At least I am going to be back next year." DeMond Parker didn't play the last game of the season, which was Blake's final game, because according to Blake, "he doesn't run well in the cold and wet conditions we had today ". I wouldn't be surprised if we see a total meltdown by the end of the year.
Oh, come on guys. It isn't that repulsive. I pulled for Texas to beat Baylor. I just took a long hot shower afterwards.
Tell her "You pay me $100 now, and if Briles is EVER hired by UT I'll pay you $1,000 when it happens." Easy money.
