In another thread I stated that I guess I'm the only one here who thinks OSU would win. It's early but the Mullet has them up by a TD 17-10
You too? Not sure why but I totally agree. I'll say one thing for him and his recievers. When he leaves the pocket he sees the field and throws really well on the run. And his recievers break off their routes to get open for him. Never saw that at Texas this year.
Every time I switch over to this game OU scores. I haven't seen a single score for OSU, but have watched maybe 20 plays and seen all of OUs. Oh, and did I say OU sucks.
That's the summary of the game and why OSU is done. Up to 6 seconds and he barely moves around. Stoops could (maybe) hit his receivers with that kind of time to set and throw.
You would think that after 3 quarters dumba-- Gundy would figure out that pressure, with or without a spy on the jerk, might be necessary. Boone needs to make a change.
I'm not sure I agree with announcers who think Little Game Bob Stoops had Perine take the knee - that young man decided himself which was very classy and atypical of OU players.
Bob Stoops just out-coached the entire conference this year. Let's hope Herman is our man to knock off Stoops and OU!
Between Gundy's hair and Mayfield's mustache, this is the most Oklahoman-looking football game of the year. Oklahoma State is a verb now to me. They almost always Oklahoma State this game away. Since Miles' back to back upsets in 2001 and 2002 they've gone 2-11, even though they've come into the game with an equal or better team half the time. Kicking that FG when down 31-17 was shortsighted. Penny-wise and pound-foolish, although it didn't end up mattering. Seriously, he didn't even need his mobility, given how often he just sat in the pocket for eternity without ever having to scramble for either sideline. Somebody is always going to be an available target when that happens. You can't guard even 4-5 average receivers for that long without at least one of them getting open.
ou out recruits osu regularly. ou has much better talent up and down the roster, better depth up and down the roster, and a better defensive coordinator. Gundy is a good coach. The winningest coach osu could keep. He actually seems to like being there. Without him, osu falls back to irrelevance. But they will never consistently beat Stoops, but they will beat most everyone else as much or more than everyone else beats them. In Herman I trust to bring our program back to the point of regularly kicking osu's but; so bedlam will revert back to only being of interest in the not so great state of Oklahoma.
