Horns look awful in the first 4 minutes. Three or four turnovers. Too much dribbling, too little passing. Dribbling into traps down low with no place to go. Got to get better, cause this is the worst I've seen them. The media time out came just in time.

This game was very winnable. Poor play, not passing, no point guard to find the open man down the stretch. Big men not being aggressive in the blocks. Guards Dibbling into traps, turnovers, etc. Shaka has a lot of work to do.
That ending SUCKED... but I think I still dislike the jerseys we were wearing more than that game. Overall, we played better than expected, but I wish we had closed that at the end. Would have been a solid, resume building road win.

Agree^^^. Reading the numbers on the backs of the jerseys was barely possible. If they want to wear black jerseys, then put white numbers on them that will show up. Keep the burnt orange trim on the shorts, neck and sleeves.
Better yet stick to the school colors. Yes I know that under the Nike contract, all sports except football are obligated to wear black at least once. Whoever negotiated the last Nike contract should have threw that obligation out, and if Nike balked (or decreased the value) the school should have moved onto Adidas or UA each of whom would have matched the value and left out the obligation just to get the business.
I honestly don't Eric Davis on the floor for a final possession for the rest of the season. It's becoming clear that he will absolutely take the last shot regardless of how many people are guarding him and who else might be open for an assist. That last possession was horrible.
Yes PH, but the prior possession by Roach was just as horrible. I hope the freshmen step up soon because neither Davis nor Roach are what they think they are. I would rather Yancy have the ball to make a game winning shot than either of those two.
Davis was fouled...no call...But you have to expect that in basketball.........We blew way too many easy chances to score throughout the game. We are just not very good.
Davis isn't regressing. We had a better supporting cast last year that took attention and pressure away from him.
I don't think he is regressing. But is much less accurate from the floor. His greatest success this year has been slashing and floating the shot into the hoop. His three point shot is not as consistent by a mile as last year. It may come around, I hope it does. But so far, he has not been able to hit the jumper.
Can't explain the loss to UTA, but these last three halves of basketball is hopefully showing that this team is beginning to come together. Would love to see them go on a run during conference play. So, I will take a hard fought loss at a tough venue with a young team and look at it as a positive.
We do need to beat Arkansas and Georgia for the sake of picking up wins and I think we can definitely beat both. I hope we bring our A game both games.
Looks like Arkansas will be no pushover, that's for sure. Arkansas has a victory over UT Arlington who by the way stunned #12 St Mary's just last night. So, Arkansas would actually be a pretty nice win IMHO. Also doesn't make the loss to UTA look so terrible. Someone in Dallas wanted to compare the loss to UTA to the Football team losing to Kansas. That UTA victory last night should shut him up now.
It would be, but with losses to Michigan, Northwestern, Colorado and UTA we need at least one nice non-conference win. Arkansas is our last shot. I am not sure how good Georgia or Alabama is at this point in time, but we do need to sweep our remaining non-conference games (Long Beach State, Arkansas, UAB, Kent State and Georgia). Also, I always want to beat Arkansas in everything for general purposes. I am not happy about Shaka giving up scoreboard to A&M last year and do not want to see him give up scoreboard to Arkansas either.
Georgia is not bad (only lost to Kansas by 11 and other losses are to Clemson and Marquette). Hopefully, by the time that game comes around the Horns will be playing much better. Nonetheless I am sure it will be tough being a road game and all.
