Mixon has the opportunity to become a model citizen and learn from his mistakes or become another Lawrence Phillips. I shall never defend a man for hitting a woman, but I'm hoping that Mixon takes advantage of his "second chance". Granted she probably deserved to get popped for slapping someone, but to knock the crap out of her like he did was BS. She slapped him.....He could have slapped her back if he felt he needed to hit a woman because she hit him. A muscled up mofo has no business PUNCHING a little girl.
I am of two minds here. I am against any violence against women. But it's like inciting a riot. some people really are responsible for the bad outcomes. And distinguishing between a slap and a fist isn't really fair in the heat of the moment when you are being assaulted by someone.
I don't give a damn if she broke beer bottles over his head, threw glasses at him, or went after him with a knife, you DO NOT HIT A WOMAN! At his size, he could easily have grabbed her and restrained her. Yes, I have been attacked by a woman with a butcher knife without provocation. (She was angry at others, and I was in the wrong place at that time..) She cut through my shirt, broke the skin on my chest, but I took the knife away, put my arms around her, and restrained her until she calmed down while the others left the scene. The thought of slapping or hitting her never entered my mind. That woman entered drug rehab, now has two children, two grandchildren, and has had a normal productive life, and is now a good friend. We never discuss that event because we would both rather forget it. This ghetto philosophy about "respect" is pure unadulterated ********. You earn respect by doing a good job and helping others, not by buying it or forcing it with violence.

Um, I don't know how to respond, except that that seems very extreme, and not even fitting with traditional chivalry. And sure isn't fitting with the law.

In a court of law it was self defense, bt he still got probation and a year suspension. Basically got away with being an ***hole, but not a criminal.
