I have to admit that it felt a little strange watching the UA game knowing we only had one verbal commit on the roster- nice day by Toneil Carter as mentioned on the 2017 Recruiting thread. A&M had 6 commits in the game and of the 5 players who announced during the game we weren't in the running for any of them. I know all the rebuttals- there are still several top recruits from the game who are undecided and we are targeting some of them including Levi Jones and K'Lavon Chaisson we can win with a bunch of 3-stars look how poorly we faired with all the 5-stars during Mack's last years many of these players may switch their commitments during the next month some of the top players are in the Army All American this weekend (we only have one commit in that game- Kerstetter) Just sayin'....
Yeppers, 2017 won't exactly be a "Worster Bunch" Fortunately, the roster is pretty well stocked at most positions and hauling in 5-6 real difference makers and a handful or role players can keep the momentum going for our roster upgrade. If we do as well as I expect, 2018 All Star games will be a lot more exciting for Longhorns fans. We can't really blame Herman for 2017 recruiting class not being Top 10 nationally any more than we can blame Charlie Strong for 2014.
We have a good load of talent in stock. It needs to be developed, and if TH and crew can do that and produce a winner, recruiting should pick up.
