http://www.foxsports.com/college-fo...ire-28-years-old-offensive-coordinator-010517 Sterlin Gilbert hired a Briles/Baylor quality control assistant last season. There were not any protests and as far as I can tell, our program did not collapse (nor was anyone even aware this guy existed).
Sorry, this seems overboard. I trust Herman and Perrin to do the right thing on this matter and it appears they have. No hard data that this guy did anything except express his opinion.
So basically such behavior "will be tolerated" as long as a) it didn't happen while employed by The University of Texas, and b) it if happened prior, the candidate promises not to repeat the behavior while employed by The University of Texas. Still not sold. Like I said in an earlier message, either we stand for something or we don't. I do realize that mine is apparently a minority opinion.
We stand for the right to forgive low level employees for saying stupid things on twitter as long as they agree to not say anymore stupid things on twitter. Im okay with that stance.
My thoughts are, if this is such a low level position why did we need this guy? I'm sure there are a plethora of candidates for the job. Why take on one carrying such a stain. I'm sure he could get a fresh start at a lower level school without being subject to the bright lights of UT.
