From Briles' Baylor to Stoops OU. Perfect fit.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Oklahoma cornerback Parrish Cobb on a charge of aggravated robbery with a possible connection to a string of armed robberies, Cobb's lawyer John Lewis confirmed Tuesday, according to Kristin Hoppa of The Waco Tribune.

Lewis also confirmed that the warrant names Cobb as a suspect in a Jan. 10 armed robbery.

"We are aware that an arrest warrant has been issued and are making arrangements for Mr. Cobb to turn himself in," Lewis told The Tribune-Herald. "We look forward to addressing these allegations at the appropriate time."

There were no injuries reported in the incident in question.

Baylor, Bellmead, and Waco police are investigating whether a string of armed robberies between Jan. 7 and Jan. 10 have any connection. Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton confirmed a warrant for the Waco robbery had also been issued to Cobb.

Cobb was limited to just four games last season due to injuries, and was originally committed to Baylor before requesting his release in the wake of former head coach Art Briles' firing."

Some serious punishment coming up for sure. Could be as serious as no protein shakes for a week.

Someone may want to remind him that even the thugs from Dallas Carter went to prison for similar stupid crap...and since Cobb walked away from Baylor and went to the land thieves, it would be hard to see him getting much prosecutorial discretion in McLennan County.

That being said...if he has no other criminal history, I could see an offer of a deferred for the ten-year maximum period available. That term would then be adjudicated within three years or so and he will wind up with probably 20-25 in TDCJ, and a requirement to serve half of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

Expect Stoops to come down hard on this guy. He will suspend Cobb the entire time he is incarcerated before reinstating him, assuming there is eligibility remaining.

So what happened? Did he rob everyone he could in Waco and decided to transfer?

OU going after the lead for the Fulmer Cup, Baylor still got the lead though.

Does Bailor get credit for all 52 of their rapes? If so, that would seem to be an insurmountable lead...

If the truth ever does come out, the Phat Phil trophy will be renamed the Sloan/Starr/Briles Award For Subhuman Behavior
