Surprise, surprise...it's Liberal propaganda. I hope DeVoss takes a FLAMETHROWER to the teachers' unions.

    LOL what

Skepticism. Denial. Whatever, you just can’t trust that secular monster science, especially when its conclusions conflict with a cherished philosophy.

LOL. Nah...I'm just joking. I believe 100% everything you, a non-skeptic, tell me about the World is exactly as you say without question and without considering any other data or theories because that's what they taught me to believe in public school. And that you and other science non-skeptics have never been wrong about how the Universe works ever.

Just kidding,...science is based on skepticism.

On the merits and taken without regard to context, I don't have a problem with any of these except the last one. I think doing what's right is everything. Usually being kind is the right thing to do, but depending on how one defines being "kind," there are times when being kind isn't the right thing to do. But I'm nitpicking, and that's beside the point. The problem with these statements is that they've gone beyond their literal meaning and have become loaded statements. They are political in nature.

Who denies that facts are not political? Who denies that science is real? Who denies that women's rights are human rights? The real disagreement comes from the implications of these statements and what they mean.

Facts aren't political, but many in politics (especially but not exclusively on the Left) don't know what a fact is anymore. As a regular reader of Politifact and Factcheck, I've seen this on many occasions. They assume tons of unproven and even unsupported facts to reach the conclusions and alleged "facts" that they reach.

Science is real, but when things are deemed absolutely true that haven't been proven as such, it's not anti-intellectual or anti-science to question them. And the bottom line is that even if one assumes that climate change is occuring, there's a lot of room for debate and discussion over the urgency of it, the nuances of the causes, and what actions are approopriate. It's not "anti-science" to discuss it. It's anti-science not to. And like I've always said, when one side of a discussion attempts to shutdown debate or discussion, people should question the side attempting to shut down debate, not the other side.

The issue of women's rights is another one. The debate is over what is a "women's right," not whether or not they exist or if they are a human right. Of course they are. But who made the political Left the absolute and sole determiner over what is and is not a "women's right?"

Frankly, this statement from the teachers is the core of my problem. The job of public education is to impart knowledge to children about the subject matter that the state and local community have deemed appropriate for them to learn. Their job is not to create citizens who find value in difference rather than fear. That's the job of parents, civic organizations, and religious organizations, and if the education system thinks those organizations are failing to do that, it isn't their job to force it.

Pretty much sums up why we can't have rational discussions anymore. Progressives post lists like this knowing full well what they mean, and they get a bunch of naive usefuls to repost and share and like, which gives the progressives ammunition to go to the media (who also know what those phrases really mean) and say that America is "on our side." And if anyone tries to dig into what those phrases actually mean and what the ramifications are, the moderates call them out for projecting and judging, and the progressives start screaming "racist" and "fascist." Argument over.

Bottom line, we're screwed. The only question is whether society collapses while Gen X is still alive.

Another oversimplification of the left. First I assume they are referring to only cultural diversity because they sure as hell are not referring to political or intellectual diversity. Second, cultural diversity is only a strength if everyone shares the same value drivers and goals. Diversity is a liability when new immigrants still consider themselves primarily as citizens of the country that they emigrated from.

These bromides in essence are all appeals to authority, which is what progressives want - a populace that will do as they say. This is why Trump scares them: evidence that the populace don't follow them anymore.
