The media hoopla over UConn hitting the 100 game win streak last Monday night was way overblown, and Tulane nearly proved it tonight. UConn was lucky to beat them by 3 points, lowly Tulane. I agree with Geno, "We're not as good as everybody thinks we are." Of course, they are a great team, but are clearly beatable, and this may be the year. We won two of four quarters against them this year on their court, mostly without Ariel. Tulane should help motivate other teams. A lot of UConn's advantage is psychological.

Baseball is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical.
    I must agree.
As Yogi would say, beating UCONN "is ninety percent mental. The other half is physical."

UConn plays 98% of their games against teams that frankly are like Jr.College teams...then they play 5-6 games against real teams...we could get to 100 easy if we had that kind of conference...JMHO

That kind of streak never happens if you play Baylor, OU, WV, KState, and Texas TWICE and sometimes three times every season.

We arrive at the Big Dance beaten to a pulp. UConn arrives refreshed and rested.

That said - when they do play good teams, they still win so you gotta give them that. :idk:
