About halfway through the 2nd half and Horns are keeping it close. oops, another turnover by kerwin R. Amazing to me the kids don't let this stuff destroy their momentum, and they just keep fighting. Two possession game. KU cannot shake this bunch. A lot of heart by the youngsters.
Admittedly, other than the Horns and the Tourney, I don't watch a ton of college basketball. So excuse me if it's common knowledge........ but is Bill Walton usually giant a**hole? Man, I can barely stand to listen to that pompous jerk argue (actually argue) with his co-commentator. His co-worker has been making decent points, asking Bill some questions, being cordial. And Bill occasionally berates him and acts like a d*ck.
Walton was a great talent, then fried what brain he had. He wasted most of his NBA career by losing all his strength on a vegan diet. He is basketball's version of Brian Wilson, except Brian Wilson actually contributed something positive to our society. I cannot believe that any network would put him live on the air. He is the one thing that ESPN cannot whitewash. Someone in the University police department needs to make sure Walton gets on the plane out of Austin, otherwise, there will be the tallest drag worm ever.
I put the TV on mute about 5 min into the first half when I realized neither announcer knew there was a game going on. I like seeing this team is still fighting in every game although they have nothing left to play for. Gives me hope for next season.
Can't believe I had to watch most of the game with a split screen with the other half showing Walton changing t-shirts. I don't know how many times I yelled let me see the fing game. Someone at ESPN needs to be shot.
This^^^ Couldn't agree with you more. I had to mute the sound. There was miniscule actual play by play and almost total rant by a hole Walton. Also this^^^. Split screen so they could show Walton in his t shirts??? Uggg.
I muted it and turned on some Craig Way and Eddie O. Their being slightly out of snyc was way better than the crap coming out of Walton. I felt sorry for the announcers.
Why does ESPN have Walton? He talks endlessly about himself and personal antecdotes that are irrelevant to the game at hand. Almost no comments about the game. It's like the "Bill Walton Show". Who the hell cares? We want commentary about the game, not his bizarre, skewed commentary about the city he's "experiencing" or the social/political climate of things outside the game. He's supposed to be the basketball analyst at these games. And yet he's oblivious to the game going on right in front of him. It was the same when the Horns played in China last year. I couldn't give two sh*ts what Bill Walton thinks about China's foreign policy. WTF?
The Walton commentary on Chinese policy last year was the absolute worst game cast I have ever heard.
